Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Swedish Recycling Industries' Association to our circular facility. Although 95% of the products that reach our productions can be reused by new owners, it’s essential that the remaining materials are properly recycled♻ Linnea Steen, Head of Environmental Policy at Återvinningsindustrierna, gained insight into our operations, where 350,000 IT products are reconditioned and given a new life every year. Meet Kristiina Uimonen, our brilliant Account Manager from our Helsinki office! 🌟 🔹 What are your job responsibilities? My task is to raise awareness about extending the lifecycle of IT devices. It’s not really something I would call a job, it’s more of a passion. How can we ensure that devices from the first users are brought into our process easily and cleverly, and then passed on to new users? And how can we keep this cycle going until we eventually have to admit that it’s time for end-of-life care, where we recover materials to be used as raw materials for new production. In our linear world, it’s good to have a contrarian like this saying that “for both your wallet and the planet, older is often better”. 🔹 What’s the best thing about working at Inrego? The best thing about working at Inrego is the sense of purpose, the straightforward and warm culture, and the quirky colleagues, partners, and customers! 🔹 What are your hobbies? I enjoy everyday life and the flow of living. Our family is very active, so you have to like cooking and doing laundry. The dog and I are often drawn to nature—you can find me on the trails, paths, slopes, lakes—with skis, a bike, sneakers, cross-country skis, rollerblades, a paddleboard, or even a canoe. Yesterday, our Head of Sustainability, Sebastian Holmström, gave an inspiring talk at the Miljöstrategidagarna hosted by Miljö & Utveckling yesterday🌍💡 Sebastian shared how we shouldn’t get lost in the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive but instead use it as a launchpad for business opportunities. His key message? Align sustainability with business strategy, marketing, and sales to build a future-proof company. 🚀 An important part of our business is that we for example offer detailed and easy-to-understand information on the CO2 emissions our customers save by using our circular IT-services. It’s about turning rules and reporting into growth and competitiveness—making sustainability a core part of your business DNA.
