La French Tech Nordics supports entrepreunarial initiatives by the French abroad 🇸🇪🇫🇷 Vincent Caure visited Stockholm last week, as the Member of Parliament for the French abroad, and La French Tech Nordics was here! It was the perfect time to talk about the French founders and entrepreneurs based in the Nordics and in Sweden, but also the public and private initiatives to support these creative and innovative people. Obviously comparing the Swedish and French ecosystems with their incentives, systems, laws, and actors connections, is major to be inspired by the actions and improvements of others. It helps one understand why Sweden produces so many entrepreneurs with successful business, a high level of innovation, with a strong funding network. One of the incentive is definitely the parental leave in Sweden. How to not be inspired? With approx. 16 months of parental benefit paid out for one child, it creates the comprehensive and incitative framework for individuals to start their business. Our board members Sophie Aubard and Baptiste Rousset both entrepreneurs with their company yayloh and Educanta represented these topics during the event at the Residence de France. A great image for the French founders and entrepreneurs abroad. Audrey Lagerqvist led a visit at Betao AB with a delegation whose goal is to give anyone the means to be an entrepreneur. These are topics we are passionate about at La French Tech Nordics so it was our pleasure to be present during the event. What should we do for our community of entrepreneurs? Any thoughts? #lafrenchtechnordics #sthlmtech #techcommunity #entrepreneurcommunity

🇳🇴 On October 10th La French Tech Nordics facilitated a pitch session during the annual French-Norwegian Day organised by the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, focussed on responsible AI. 5 startups🌱 got a chance to present their AI-based solutions in front of major actors of the French-Norwegian cooperation and of some of the world's largest corporations: CONSIGLI 🇳🇴 pitched their AI-powered autonomous engineer for real estate developers Spoor 🇳🇴 told us how they use AI and computer vision to protect bird life around wind farms Bioceanor 🇫🇷 showed how their water-monitoring solutions support Norwegian fish farms Endrava 🇳🇴🇫🇷 demonstrated how LLM powers their solution for identifying the larger emitters on behalf of the carbon capture industry Aevy's 🇳🇴🇫🇷 pitched their AI-based asset-manager for owners and developers of renewable energy assets This year's theme was responsible AI and there were many great keynotes and panel discussions. The fireside chat with William El Sayed of La French Tech's rising star Mistral AI was a big attraction, and demos by Thordur Arnason of Capgemini AI future lab another highlight. Thanks to Ludovic Caubet and Claudine Smith of the French-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, for associating us to this great event and for helping us promote entrepreneurship in tech. And thanks to Innovation Norway for contributing to the pitching session (Sigrun Daireaux, Christophe Slim, Joachim Thorsen). Under the high patronage of H.E. Niels Engelschiøn and H.E. Here's what they remembered: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 - bootstrap! 🧗go as far as you can without external funding 🏭keep your day job or sell consulting services if needed  ✔️only raise external capital if and when you need 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆: you can’t get rid of them easily ❔ask who they are. Proud partner of one of the most interesting event: French-Swedish Innovation Summit The annual event by Chambre de Commerce Suédoise en France - CCSF hit again, and with it, high-level speakers from French and Swedish companies! They exchanged their views on the challenges in the EU, their goals, and strategic takes on capital market, investment, tech, industry, energy, defense. Among the speakers: Gîta Paterson Diane Doucerain, H.E. Håkan Åkesson, Knut och Alice Wallenbergs Stiftelse , Ramsay Santé or Anna Stellinger. The panel discussions were highly interesting and confirmed the shared interests of European countries for similar topics. The insights that struck the most: 🧑💻 Private investments are a crucial, and capital market in the EU is a priority to build and sustain the EU. ✌️ Collaborations between private sectors and public sectors, but also among corporates from the same industry are capital to support the European ecosystem and its stakeholders. ✨ The EU is too stuck on capital intensive industries, when less intensive capital ones are growing faster and stronger. We particularly enjoyed Mattias Åström who said the EU needs to define strategic areas, grow its champions, and be their first customers. Investments will follow when revenues and customers are already present. The French ecosystem was particularly highlighted with the mention of Bpifrance by Susanna Campbell, of La French Tech actions, of Paris becoming the European AI hub, and by the presence of Air France-KLM, EDF, MBDA. Warm thank you for the opportunity to witness this dynamic event, and to the partners enabling this initiative. What do you think of these opinions? What are the challenges faced by the EU in terms of capital and insdustry? How to solve them? #frenchtechnordics #techcommunity #entrepreneurship #stockholmtechcommunity

🎇 Apero n°2 in #Iceland = Success! ⚡ A big thank you to our evening sponsor: Qair Group! 🌟 The Apéro was kicked off with a great presentation of Qair work on wind energy and hydrogen production by Amandine B. and Théophane DE GENTILE. Seeing the development of this green energy production in #Iceland is exciting. We can't wait to see more of it! 🐟 The Iceland Ocean Cluster kindly hosted the event. We did a tour of the facilities and learned about their famous 100% fish concept to optimise the use of our resources, 🌱 La French Tech Nordics is gently growing in #Reykjavík and the word is starting to reach new ears! The crowd was small but it allowed us to connect on a deeper level. What a great group we had! It was a pleasure for Justine Vanhalst and Adeline Tracz to welcome you! We also had the visit of The French Ambassador in Iceland BAZARD Guillaume who is supporting our effort since the beginning! 🙏 Thank you all for joining us. 🙌We already have an idea of topic for the next Apéro.
