It all started in 2003, with the ambition to innovate and disrupt the PR industry. Since then, the digital landscape has continued to grow, becoming a vital part of the media industry and society as a whole. Relevance (getting the right message to reach the right person, at the right time) has never been more important. The same applies to finding the right relations in order to break through the clutter and engage in important conversations, gaining reach and creating awareness. And to us, awareness is just as much about getting recognition as a brand, as it is about understanding and adding perspective of a certain topic or opinion. Today Mynewsdesk has over 4 000 customers, 80 000 news stories are published every year, and has 1.6 million unique visitors on its site each month. All of the content created, published, shared and refined here has a real impact on society.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Berghs School of Communication, we got to spend two hours with students from their PR program, sharing what it’s really like to work as a Head of PR and Head of Communications in the industry. We covered questions like: 🔸 How does PR fit into a broader communication strategy? 🔸 Who does what in a communications team? 🔸 How AI can help a great writer be brilliant? (not a poor one become great). 🔸 And why eating chips from individual bags is more fun than from a bowl 🤣 (but not so great for the environment) Thanks for sharing your clever thoughts and ideas with us—we’re already discussing how to implement some of them.
