TITAS is the largest fair for Taiwan's textile and fashion industry. We are there with our brand OrganoTex, represented by our partner WWRC. At the show, we display our PFAS-free and readily biodegradable DWR, as well as our eco-labelled textile and shoe waterproofing products and our range of detergents for functional clothing.

100% biobased content in a product instead of 98%? That might not sound like much of a difference. But for us it is! We have a goal of reaching 100% biobased content in all our products because in our opinion it is important to eliminate all fossil CO2 emissions from products end-of-life. With this target in mind, we are constantly searching for biomolecules and biopolymers which is completely free from fossil carbons. And if we can’t find any, we collaborate with our suppliers to develop these molecules. This is exactly what we have done with our new biobased OrganoTex Textile Waterproofing product which one year ago had 98% biobased content but now, after a year of development together with a raw material supplier, has 100% biobased content and at the same time keeps the functionality intact. We are so proud of our last 2 percent biobased content💚!

Last week, the first F2F-meeting were held in the EU co-financed PENGUIN Project in Jyväskylä, Finland. The project aims at developing biobased and truly sustainable outdoor gear in which OrganoClick plays a crucial role by supplying both our biobased water repellent technology #OrganoTex and our biobased binder. In the project, there are actors from the whole value chain, including outdoor brands and textile manufacturers. At the meeting, OrganoClick was representer by our R&D Director Maria Wennman and our Project manager Johannes R.S. van Overmeeren. See the video below for more insights about the project!

Exciting news! 🎉🐧 The PENGUIN project held its first in-person consortium meeting in Jyväskylä, Finland, on September 25-26, 2024. 🇫🇮 During the meeting, participants outlined the key objectives and challenges to ensure the project's success in developing bioinspired and advanced fibers and materials. 🧵🔬 Researchers shared insights on various aspects of the project, including the creation of new fibers, innovative textile manufacturing techniques, and the incorporation of biomimetic features into outdoor gear. 🏔️👕 The collaborative environment sparked discussions on achieving sustainability while meeting the high-performance demands of outdoor textiles. 🌿💪 Additionally, researchers had the opportunity to visit both VTT and SPINNOVA facilities, where they were introduced to breakthrough technologies for producing textile fibers and materials. 🏭🔬 These innovations will serve as the foundation for developing outdoor textiles with biomimetic functionalities, drawing inspiration from nature to create sustainable and efficient materials. 🍃🌳 VTT | Sistema Moda Italia | CITEVE | OrganoClick AB | RINA | Manifattura Mario Colombo - COLMAR | SPINNOVA® | Pangaia Grado Zero Srl | IDENER.AI #PENGUIN #SustainableTextiles #BiomimeticMaterials #OutdoorInnovation #VTTResearch

We are still very excited and cannot yet believe that there was a scanning electron microscope (SEM) in the box. We now have our own equipment to zoom in on materials down on micrometer scale (zoom x 30,000)! Just look in the picture to the right how we now can zoom in on fibers in a nonwoven material treated with our biobased binders. This equipment will be of great help in advancing our R&D projects. Thanks for great support throughout the process JEOL EUROPE! Co-funded by the European Union under the GA no 101130000. This Saturday is the The Keep Sweden Tidy Day in Sweden, an initiative by Håll Sverige Rent, The Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation. For us at OrganoClick, picking litter in our neighbourhood has become a yearly tradition, so we made it today instead. With a little help of the sunny weather, some very engaged litter hunters did an excellent achievement within less than an hour just around our factory in Täby. We all must fight against microplastics that are spread in our environment. Our mission at OrganoClick is to help our customers with their green transition so they can shift from plastics and hazardous chemicals to biobased solutions. Materials that will never end up as microplastics, instead just being biodegradable and compostable.

A happy OrganoClick R&D team after three days of FibRe International Conference 2024 at Chalmers tekniska högskola. Well-organized with plenty of interesting presentations from a broad variety of speakers. All participants agree on that the future looks green 😊 Now heading back to the lab 🔬 FibRe is a research consortium between academia (Chalmers University of Technology and KTH the Royal Institute of Technology), industry and public organisation partners in Sweden. The centre is funded by Vinnova, the Swedish Agency for Innovation, and the participating universities and industries. The scope of the centre is to develop knowledge and skills required to replace fossil-based plastics with lignocellulose-based counterparts. OrganoClick participated with Peter Plikk, Filippa Winkvist, Maria Wennman, Johannes R.S. van Overmeeren, Lia Hul and Clara Lyttle Baynham

Today, we published our report for Q2-2024. For the first time ever, we show a positive operating result for the first 6 months of the year! Our CEO, Mårten Hellberg commented: "During the second quarter, our operating profit/loss continued to improve to MSEK -0.1 (-0.4) despite the fact that sales decreased by -6 percent to MSEK 38.7 (41.0). The earnings improvement was driven partly by the continued strong sales development of our consumer brands and partly from lower raw material prices within the Functional wood business unit. Overall, this has led to an improved gross margin of 29.1 (26.9) percent. For the first time ever, the Group thus showed a positive operating result in the first six months of the year. Cash flow from operating activities also strengthened during the quarter to MSEK 11.0 (8.0)." To read the full report, https://lnkd.in/gzrKSPxQ
