Sami was one of the judges at this year’s Visual 1st conference in San Francisco, presenting the Best of Show Award to PicCollage: "While generative AI dominated discussions last year, it hadn’t yet proven ready for full product commercialization. This year’s @Visual1st had many GenAI products already shipping and delivering real value. PicCollage’s well-executed AI strategy exemplifies how, when applied thoughtfully, technology can elevate user experience and drive future product growth." Sami’s passion has always been exploring computers' capabilities to express things visually, initially by coding demos in machine language on Commodore 64. He founded Scalado, which became the leading imaging software company. Nokia acquired Scalado, which later became part of Microsoft, where Sami was Director of Photography. His vast knowledge and experience are of remarkable value to us at Spintop Ventures.

Congratulations to our portfolio company Vitala and Lisa Aasa on winning New Nordics Pitch Competition. They are reshaping the healthcare system with their solution for exercise as medicine. The victory is a testament to the team's hard work in validating the U.S. market and bringing leading healthcare institutions on board as customers. Working hard, day in and day out over many years to become the very best in a sport is very similar to the everyday life and challenges of tech founders building their dreams. The leaders of Spintop Ventures’ portfolio companies exchange experiences and learnings with elite skier Karolina Hedenström. At the Spintop Summit in May, Karolina Hedenström generously shared her story of how she has become one of the world’s very best in just seven years. A clear goal and focusing on the process - while at the same time having fun and living a sustainable life. She is well on her way, finishing Ski Classics in the top 5 overall this year and winning the youth bib the last two seasons. We found many things in common, so the collaboration continues with monthly check-ins with the leaders from our portfolio companies. We share ups and lows while supporting health and wellbeing by introducing a new training session suitable for everyone each month. It's great to see Cambri raise a new funding round of €8 million with two new investors, Octopus Ventures and S4S Ventures, joining us. Cambri’s transformational AI technology addresses a major industry problem: the high failure rate of product launches. The IUCN Leaders Forum recognizes annually young leaders and entrepreneurs who are working on innovative sustainable projects, providing them an opportunity to connect with influential global leaders in sustainability and environmental conservation Before Caritta joined Spintop Ventures as an investment manager, she co-founded Tespack, a smart energy startup. She’s previously worked with leading organizations and companies, such as the United Nations, Audi and the Finnish Foreign Ministry. We are so proud to have you on our team!

During Oslo Innovation Week yesterday RAB Diagnostics and Anette Weyergang won #100Pitches, for their work where they are developing a technological platform to predict the response of targeted cancer therapy. #100Pitches is Norway’s largest pitch competition for startups working with one of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. It is true inspiration to meet all the semi-finalists and the winner was selected with fierce competition from a group of extraordinary founders with an ambition to impact society with their innovations.
