Ringraziamo tutti coloro che ieri, mercoledì 12 marzo presso il Volvo Studio di Milano, hanno partecipato all’Assemblea Generale dei Soci e degli Associati Assosvezia. 🌿🥇Durante l'incontro abbiamo potuto conoscere più nel dettaglio il progetto vincitore dell'Assosvezia Sustainability Award 2024, "Poly Wood" di Tetra Pak, ma anche tutti i progetti delle aziende che hanno partecipato. Avevano inviato la loro candidatura Volvo Trucks Italia, Alfa Laval, OMTRA1956 Società Benefit, IKEA, Camfil Italia, EasyPark Italy, Mölnlycke Health Care, Transcom Italia, H&M, Svea Solar, Jacobi Group, Essity, ABB. A tutti i presenti è stato consegnato come premio di partecipazione il libro Il Pensiero Nordico – Trovare la felicità sotto l’aurora boreale (di Anna Brännström e Ida Maria Giovanna Montrasio). Concluso l'approfondimento relativo alla sostenibilità, l'Assemblea è entrata nel vivo. Sono stati illustrati tutti i traguardi raggiunti durante l'anno passato, è stato dato il benvenuto ai nuovi soci (con l’auspicio di averne ancora molti altri in questo 2025!), è stata approvata una piccola modifica allo Statuto, sono stati annunciati i nuovi partecipanti al Consiglio di Amministrazione e confermati alcuni mandati. 📌 Tutti i dettagli relativamente il Consiglio di Amministrazione verranno presto pubblicati in un articolo dedicato. 💌 Rinnoviamo i nostri ringraziamenti anche all'Ambasciata di Svezia in Italia, sempre al nostro fianco, S. ☀️ Svea Solar secures land for 500 MW solar parks ☀️ We are happy to announce several land agreements with Stora Enso, one of the largest private forest owners in the world. A total of eight new solar parks will be built on Stora Enso's land. The solar parks will mainly be located in central Sweden, and in southern Norrland. The total estimated capacity is approximately 500 MW, which is comparable to the annual consumption of about 40,000 households or half a nuclear reactor. - It is great to collaborate with a large landowner. We have selected the most favorable locations on their land for solar parks with low natural values. This way, the land is used efficiently, and we can significantly contribute to locally produced electricity in two different electricity areas, says Pieter Godderis, Managing Director Utility at Svea Solar. Since 2004, Svensk Solenergi has awarded the Solar Energy Prize “Solenergipriset” in three categories: Installation of the Year (Ground), Installation of the Year (Building), and Achievement of the Year. We are incredibly proud to have contributed to five outstanding projects, nominated in all three categories: 🌾 Hova Agrivoltaic Park: Sweden's first agrivoltaic park, combining solar energy with agriculture. In collaboration with Ekoväx i Norden AB, it covers 13 hectares, generates 8 GWh per year, covering the enegry needs of Ljusgårda's indoor farm. 🏙️ Hufvudstaden - Nordstan: This solar installation in central Gothenburg showcases how solar energy can be seamlessly integrated into urban environments. With a capacity of approximately 120 kW, it produces around 100,000 kWh annually, all of which is used directly within the building. 💡Austerland Energy Community: A special project we have built, one of Sweden's first Energy Communities. The solar park is situated in Gotland, and it is financed through shared ownership, where 1 share equals 1 kW. ♻️ CircSolar: A project we initiated, led by Axfoundation, aiming to develop a national system for the circular management of solar panels, enhancing resource efficiency and competitiveness. ⚡️ Henja Solar Park: Sweden's seventh-largest solar park near Gislaved that we built in cooperation with Sunna Group. The park has a capacity of 15.5 MW and an annual production of 15 GWh. Let's keep our fingers crossed that one of these will win. It finally happened, more solar than coal in Europe 🙌 In 2024, solar generated 11% of EU electricity, and for the first time, coal fell below 10 % according to new statistics from Ember. And it doesn't end there - wind generated more electricity than gas, 17 compared to 16%, for the second year in a row.
