Last Friday, we had an eye-opening discussion on race and religion at The Hive @ Tanjong Pagar. Huge thanks to @harmonycirclesg for making this possible! 🙏 Our participants, which included university, polytechnic, and ITE students, shared some really personal experiences and thoughts. While some participants shared that they hadn't faced racism, others highlighted ongoing discrimination that some couldn't believe still happens today. One big takeaway was the need to bring racial harmony education into our daily lives. Participants also voiced concerns about the treatment of migrant workers, expressing hopes for improved working conditions and greater appreciation for their contributions. It was also touching to hear stories about cultural traditions, like the joy of celebrating lantern festivals as a child. ✨ Want to participate in important conversations like these? Last week, we had the pleasure of wrapping up our final event of the ‘Ok Boomer… But Wait!’ series at the beautiful Lighthouse 💡 (Youth-Centric Hub) in Punggol! 🌟 This unique container park was the perfect venue for Gen Zs and Millennials to explore how we balance time between ourselves, friends, and family as we grow older, and look forward to the future ahead 💓 We’re sad to see this series end, but we hope it helped everyone understand the other generation better and forge new friendships.
