#Jakarta is now well on its way towards becoming a world class smart and global city embracing #SmartCity4.0 ideas and concepts having been a Gold Medalist in ASEAN ICT Awards and Champion of World Summit of Information Society. I was very pleased to meet the eclectic and enthusiastic Director of Jakarta Smart City (JSC) and vision-bearer, Pak Andrie Yuswanto with Pak Budi Supriyanto from JSC, Salim Ezer leading Graymatics-Indonesia and our partner Dr. Muhamad Yopan from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Looking forward to strong collaborations and to be a good contributor towards one of the most progressive smart cities across #ASEAN and #APAC region.

This month, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Westcon-Comstor Indonesia collaborated to host a #SmartAndSustainableCities 🌿 event for our partners in Jakarta.During the event, I had the opportunity to share our vision for smart and sustainable cities, along with some easy-to-implement solutions: #CityDataPlatforms, #UrbanObservatories, #SuperApps and #Geospatial Solutions. Our partners Surbana Jurong Group, Graymatics, Bamboomedia, Esri Indonesia and Cropin shared their packaged solution offerings on #SmartSustainableBuildingsandEstates, #VideoAnalytics, #SuperApps, #Geospatial and #Agriculture solutions. These solutions can help customers kickstart their smart city journeys. I was pleased to meet (with M Shakeer) the Tech Mahindra teams within the #MiddleEast this week, including Ramesh Ram within the #Dubai office heading TechM's strategic alliances across #IndiaMiddleEastAfrica (IMEA) region, and earlier in the week with Murtuza Adil and Manish Rawat heading TechM's #KSA operations out of their Riyadh office. While most System Integrators that we have worked with have been exemplary in their professionalism, we've had to do with some rare bad eggs (unprofessional/ no-integrity)!!

As we have been operating in Europe for 3 years, we perceived the W2 program as an excellent opportunity for building a business case, and supporting our continuous expansion to Europe. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻? Our solution will bring Wincantion a new way to enhance safety standards within its premises by 24/7 automatic supervision and compliance. Graymatics' system will analyze live feeds from security cameras, immediately detect any hazardous situations that may result in injury, and send real-time alerts to appropriate personnel. The ultimate benefit we will bring is the elimination of potential injuries at the workplace and significantly enhanced safety. Pleased to be back in #Riyadh in #SaudiArabia this week despite the current heat-crest. Wonderful to meet Graymatics' local partner firm: Eminence Investment and the passionate and highly hospitable principals: Naif ALAYDH, Dr Razan Ibrahim. This also included a wonderful, lavish but traditional #Arabic dinner which would appeal highly to most taste buds We had some excellent meetings this week within KSA with the Customs, Ports, Airport agencies, our ecosystem partners and major System Integrators such as Emircom and Tech Mahindra. I do rate #saudiarabia to be one of the 5 highest momentum markets globally for Video/ Audio AI tech and probably for most of AI, and Graymatics will continue its high momentum activity here.

Pleased to meet my co-alum and also co-Advisor to our beloved USC Viterbi School of Engineering, Saurabh Singhal. Saurabh has gone through a parallel path of being the biotech entrepreneur with Biotech International around Biostimulants, Biodecomposers, Biopesticides, Biofertilizers over the last 3 decades, while I have been into AI/ ML, high-speed mixed signal chips and related.
