🇻🇳 Imagine H2O Asia at Vietnam Water Week 2024 Our team is in Hanoi this week with our local partners to design new projects for portfolio companies solving Vietnam’s water challenges. Our featured startups are already making headway in Vietnam with support from IH2O's Pilot Fund: Atera Water Pte Ltd is treating high turbidity river water in Hà Tĩnh using its ultrafiltration membrane system. Movements Inc. is mapping Da Nang’s underground utility pipes with its digital twin and spatial analysis tool. EnvironSens is monitoring river water toxicity along Saigon River to provide early detection of pesticides and heavy metals. MIPS Innovations is exploring opportunities for in-process and effluent waste monitoring with utilities and industries in Vietnam. 🤝 If you’re at VWW, visit the Imagine H2O Asia Innovation Pavilion (Booth 98) to connect with us!

🧪 Monitoring Water Quality Harmful algal blooms, saltwater intrusion, pollution run-off – these are some of the water quality challenges facing communities across Asia due to climate change. Water quality data is a prerequisite to respond appropriately. But in 2023, the UN reported that less than 3% of global water quality measurements came from emerging economies. In this final installment of our Imagine H2O Asia Cohort 5 series, learn about how our entrepreneurs are improving the region’s monitoring capacity (SDG 6.3.2): NatureDots monitors and predicts risks to freshwater bodies with its digital twin to help utilities plan for changing source water conditions before treatment. MIPS Innovations detects a wide range of contaminants in real-time including heavy metals and pesticides using its highly-sensitive water quality sensors. If you're a startup working on water quality or other SDG 6-related challenges, apply to Imagine H2O's 2025 accelerator programs today www.imagineh2o.org/apply

TracWater is Transforming the Way Utilities Monitor Water Quality  ⬆️  2,000 - that’s how many more water quality measurements a utility can take in a week using TracWater’s portable analyzers. Typically, only 1-2 measurements are taken a week.  Supported by Imagine H2O’s Water Innovation Pilot Fund, TracWater is now more than halfway through their pilots with two utilities in the Philippines to increase water quality visibility in piped networks and ensure safe drinking water delivery to households.  Early successes have been driven by regular field visits and local capacity building for water operators, enabling the utilities to adjust disinfection levels using the data collected.  Learn more about how our Fund is helping communities de-risk innovative water solutions faster - https://lnkd.in/g8TFTySW
