With the Philippines facing increasing water challenges due to climate change, particularly in surface water treatment, Adrian highlighted how the TeraStream system can deliver reliable, cost-effective clean water solutions, even in challenging conditions. It was an honor to engage with key water utilities and stakeholders in the region, exchanging ideas on how to tackle pressing water issues and enhance water security 💧 . Realising a circular water economy: At the recent Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize 2024 Award Ceremony and banquet, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam underscored the importance of financial equity in the development of sustainable solutions. During the moderated discussion, he touched on how water technologies are now mature and are ready for investments and deployment, highlighting a water filtration project by the #NTUsg Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute, supported by the Lien Foundation, that produces drinking water for a community in Myanmar. He also spotlighted Atera Water Pte Ltd, a local start-up deploying clean water production plants in Vietnam, using affordable nanocomposite membranes for ultrafiltration co-developed by Prof Hu Xiao from the NTU School of Materials Science and Engineering.
