🌐 Yesterday, I left a message to Sir Tim Berners-Lee the Father of World Wide Web Foundation saying that the real Web3.0 era is coming! The Web3.0 coined by me, defined by him and borrowed by Gavin Wood(Web3). 💡 Ever since I coined the term #Web3.0 when I designed the world first #AI powered social network in 2003, my life has been deeply connected to this term. I witnessed that Sir Tim Berners Lee adopted Web3.0 in 2006 as the name for the Next Generation Web (previously named Semantic Web by him) by introducing definitions of data ownership, decentralization, privacy protection and dissemination. 👉”It’s a real shame in fact that the actual Web3 name was taken by Ethereum folks for the stuff that they’re doing with blockchain. In fact, Web3 is not the web at all.”said Sir Tim, speaking onstage at the Web Summit event in Lisbon in 2022. He doesn’t view blockchain as a viable solution for building the next iteration of the internet, and people too often conflate Web3 with “Web3.0”. 📍 To bridge the gap, I proposed “The Grand Unified Theory of Web3.0 and Web3”, which consists of two parts: on the left is the data protocol stack (Solid Semantic Web, MetaLife Social , Sir Tim), and on the right is the value protocol (blockchain and cryptocurrency, Satoshi Nakamoto). The data protocol on the left forms the foundation, the value protocol helps to monetise data value in a fair decentralized way. Both parts are indispensable. Web3 is merely an abbreviation for Web3.0, or simply the same. 🚀 Web3.0 is deeply rooted in AI, actually it was originated from AI when I coined it, and when Sir Tim defined it as machine readable interconnected data. Web3.0 is a web of data orchestrated with SOLID, Semantic Web, MetaLife, Ontology, Knowledge Graph, GraphRAG for #LLMs. To build trust In AI, Semantic Interoperability and Knowledge Graphs are at the Rescue of LLMs 🔥The Grand Unified Theory can be extended to AI. Both units of AI (data) and value are called “Token”. I defined the switching model for Value Internet & Web3.0 as “Token Switching” in 2017, compared to first generation “Circuit Switching”, and 2rd generation “Packet Switching”. 🌍 In my view, United Nations “Global Digital Compact” and “Governing AI for Humanity” as well as UN Internet Governance can be distilled down to AI + real Web3.0. The forum will focus on how AI is reshaping the business landscape and future trends in business innovation under the leadership of Chief AI Officers (CAIOs).
