We had the privilege of conducting an informative Digital Literacy workshop for students from APSN Tanglin School, introducing them to digital payments and the various ways to pay. To put what they’ve learnt into practice, we brought them on a Learning Journey to nearby shops and guided them with a hands-on experience through making purchases. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jeremy Soo, Managing Director and Head of Consumer Banking Group at DBS Singapore as the Chairman of NETS with effect from 1 September 2024. The NETS team gathered once again for the annual Durian Party to savour the iconic fruit. Thank you to our recreational team who put together the event in record time, allowing us to spend a few hours bonding over our love for the king of fruits. We have just launched NETS SoftPOS, a terminal-less payment solution to make accepting digital payments easier, faster, and more affordable. Merchants can now download the NETS SoftPOS app from the Google Play Store and use their Android smart devices as payment terminals to accept contactless payments. NETS SoftPOS allows merchants to accept contactless transactions from card, QR and mobile payment on their device. Card payments include NETS ATM / debit card, NETS Prepaid Card and major international card schemes whilst QR payments can be accepted from DBS, OCBC and UOB banking apps as well as overseas banking and wallet apps from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Ashes Event, a food and beverage company expressed their delight with the solution which took up less space, and removed the need for a separate terminal at their pop-up booths.
