Welcome to the World of Oil and Gas

About us

The Oil and Gas is a massive industry, its global supply chain and its giant footprints touch at least somewhere in our whole lives. We felt that the Oil and Gas Industry as a collective do not wield the same influence on mass media and social media as that of the Renewable Energy, and that could be crucial in terms of businesses sustainability and factual awareness to societies at large, and that is how we came up with the idea of uniting and voicing our perspectives to the world. We knew that if something untoward happened in our industry, the scale and the implications could be massive, be it loss of personal life and or environmental damages. Fortunately, the industry has evolved far beyond simply the pursuit of profits. The industry has improved much along with the development of technology. For example, a more safety-and-environmental conscious mind has been distilled in newer generations and HSE has been one of the KPI in most, and if not all companies, from oil companies, to services and contractors. We also felt that there is a lack of social media outreach whereby we could work with societies, businesses and governments at large, in order to help them understand our industry better. Subsea7 through its JV with SLB ie. the Subsea Integration Alliance, has signed a new long-term strategic collaboration agreement with Equinor recently. The agreement paves the way for exclusive collaboration to begin immediately on early, joint concept studies for two projects: the Wisting field offshore Norway, and Bay du Nord, off Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Under the agreement, any resulting EPCI scopes would be directly awarded to the Alliance if a final investment decision is made. Bringing together the expertise, experience and capabilities of Equinor, Subsea7 and OneSubsea has enabled further exploratory work at both projects to recommence and through the collaboration agreement, further such opportunities are expected to be unlocked in the short to medium term. Trond Bokn, Senior Vice President for Project Development of Equinor said: “Equinor is working hard to improve and mature the Wisting and Bay du Nord projects. Selecting the supplier at this early stage is a new way of approaching project development for us, and a vote of confidence in Subsea Integration Alliance. We look forward to develop concepts together, in a process with full visibility on profitability, and joint efforts to make these challenging projects sanctionable.” John Evans, CEO of Subsea7 said: “Subsea7 has been collaborating with Equinor for many years to optimise challenging subsea developments ranging from bundle solutions for the Snorre Expansion to the integrated Bacalhau development in Brazil. We look forward to extending and deepening this relationship as we work together to unlock the value in Wisting and Bay du Nord.” Mads Hjelmeland, CEO of OneSubsea said “Equinor has long been a crucial customer to our business and to the Alliance. We couldn’t be more proud to be embarking on this collaboration. Today’s agreement underlines the trusted relationship that we have built over many years and enables us to take our collaboration further by sharing and aligning on goals and values, improving performance and learnings across projects, and unlocking new opportunities to enhance safety, risk management and sustainability results.” #onesubsea #subsea7 #equinor #slb #subsea

SAFETY content On the evening of Wednesday 28 February 2024, a Sikorsky S-92A helicopter, LN-OIJ, operated by Bristow Norway AS, crashed during SAR training in night conditions departing from Flesland (ENBR). The downed chopper wreckage has been recovered from 220m water depth by Normand Ocean vessel. The helicopter took off from Flesland (ENBR) with the aim of carrying out SAR training west of Løno, Sotra. All six who had been on board the helicopter were picked up from the sea by a rescue helicopter and transported to Haukeland University Hospital. Petrobras recorded a new high of 4.05 MMBOED total production in the 4Q 2023. This increase was achieved mainly through the start up of P-71 (Itapu field), FPSO Anna Nery & FPSO Anita Garibaldi (Marlim and Voador fields), and FPSO Almirante Barroso (Buzios field). Pre-salt production accounted for 2.33 MMBOED which represent nearly 79% of total Petrobras production. These figures are likely to increase, considering start up and production of new facilities in 2024, which include FPSO Sepetiba (Mero field), FPSO Marechal Duque das Caxias (Mero field) and FPSO Maria Quiteria (Parque das Baleias). #fpso #annanery #anitagaribaldi #almirantebarroso #sepetiba #marechalduquedecaxias #mariaquiteria #upstream #energy #oilandgas #oilandgasindustry #oilandgasworld #brazil 🇧🇷 MODEC SBM Offshore Yinson Production MISC Group
