6 months ago, we signed up for NYC's Youth Action Challenge not knowing fully what it was about. It was a huge commitment, with many Saturdays spent at workshops and evenings spent with mentors. But fast-forward to today, we leave the programme with: - Great conversations with people representing government, social enterprises, etc - Our very first pitch deck, refined with the help of pitching experts - Renewed energy to contribute more to Singapore's career navigation ecosystem What's next for OCC? We will be sharing a little more in the next few weeks, stay tuned! P.S. As part of this we also leaned in to create our very first Gen Z style Tik-Tok video... which will eventually be released. 😂

Less than two weeks till we run our 2nd Curious Table of the year! This time, it is for the highly-requested topic of career transitions. Curious Table is our casual and intimate dinner format which we first workshopped in late 2024. We received encouraging feedback about these lightly-facilitated conversations over good food, and saw how they provided a space for thought-provoking conversations as we fill our hungry stomachs! The next one will be held on Thursday, 20 Feb at 7pm. If you've ever wondered what it's like to navigate a career transition, or want to share your wisdom having completed one, we invite you to join us! Link in comments, see you there!

When we designed our first event of the year, we knew it had to be an event that encouraged participants to design the career they wanted. So we teamed up with the amazing artists at Arterly Obsessed and gathered for an afternoon that combines curiosity and creativity! We asked ourselves questions like: - What do we love about our careers today? - What do we want to do more of? Or less of? - Where do we hope to go by the end of the year? And we translated that into... vision boards! Half of us have not touched a paintbrush since secondary school, while the other half has been engaging with art in various forms for most of their lives. Regardless, as artist Yi Xiu told us, it's not about the outcome! More pictures to come. Follow us for more event updates.

Empowered Portraits was born out of a moment of insecurity that turned into inspiration. How many times have we looked in the mirror and felt insecure, wishing that we could erase our imperfections? So we turned that around and asked, how can we design a session that allows us to accept ourselves and celebrate each other as we are? It was a blast running this. Will you join us for the next one in November? Link in comments below!
There's something special when women come together with the main intention about learning more about ourselves and uplifting others around us. Had an incredible time with Our Curiosity Collective awhile back when they hosted the inaugural Empowered Portraits session where a safe space was created to reflect on how we see ourselves and some of the limiting beliefs we had that kept us playing small. It was wonderful to witness Chris Hnin in her zone facilitating and hosting the session. Loved meeting the amazing ladies and hearing their stories. The shared experience helped form an indescribable bond. Yesterday, we hosted our first Curious Table focus group Featuring the topic of navigating careers. We got participants to capture their career journeys visually And we got an interesting mix of formats From structured charts to freeform drawing. We had amazing conversations: - Highlighting the ups and downs of every career path - Using sports metaphors to uncover hidden rules in the working world - With the most diverse group we hosted to date! Thank you to our participants for showing up on a precious Saturday! It was a blast!

More often than not, we take risks with our events. We recently ran Empowered Portraits, our boldest event to date. It was a photoshoot experience with a twist - one that takes away the awkwardness of being in front of the camera, and turning that into an empowering reflection of self. When we saw what our participants had to say... - Loved connecting with like-minded ladies who are incredible and excelling in what they do. - It was so beautiful to get a glimpse of ourselves through the eyes of others and being able to speak life into others - This event is for anyone seeking meaning, direction, self-love and reflection We knew that taking those risks was worth it. It's easy to go the tried-and-tested road of following someone else's playbook. But Our Curiosity Collective started out as a means to seek clarity through community, focusing on issues that are personal yet universal in today's modern society. Every event is built with lots of heart, using our experience as a foundation and our imagination as the spark. We are constantly asking ourselves. What if we tried another way? What if we explored a new idea? What if it works? We have ran enough events to know that something works. And when it does, it's truly magical.
