Approximately 474 tonnes of AC14 A15E CarbonBind® has been used as part of Austek Roads' Helensvale Road Project, upgrading a vital segment of Queensland’s road network.   CarbonBind® is a revolutionary product made from organic, plant-derived materials that partially replaces conventional, oil-refined bitumen. By acting as a carbon sink, CarbonBind® permanently locks away atmospheric CO2 emissions within the pavement structure, all while maintaining high operational efficiency and quality. In total, 196,800 kg of CO2 has been sequestered across Austek Roads' projects within the City of Gold Coast road network.   This upgrade has significantly enhanced the road's performance integrity, while also reducing wear on equipment. Puma Energy today announced its financial results for the three-month period ending 30 June 2024. Our core regions and segments have demonstrated a stable performance, with continued growth in aviation year over year, and the recovery of margins and higher volumes across our commercial segment compared to Q1 2024. “We remain prudent as we navigate the current global macroeconomic environment, which continues to be underpinned by higher cost of borrowing and economic stress in some of the countries we operate in Africa,” said Carlos Pons Chief Financial Officer of Puma Energy. As part of its road safety initiative, the Puma Energy Foundation has partnered with Transaid to develop a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driver training standard in Ghana.   In Ghana, the number of HGVs on the road are growing thanks to new critical infrastructure development. More HGVs mean more drivers, raising the importance of training for safe driving practices.   As an independent philanthropic entity, The Puma Energy Foundation provides long-term funding to non-profit organisations that tackle vital health challenges related to road safety and access to clean energy in Africa and in Latin America.   Follow Puma Energy Foundation to learn more about the impact that initiatives like these are having on communities.
