Location and budget obviously play a key role, but loyalty benefits offered by a hotel are the next biggest decision-making factor. A recent survey by YouGov survey revealed the following insights - 🇸🇬 International hotel booking journey of #Singapore travellers - 1. Search based on location --> Filter for those with loyalty membership --> Compare location and price: 27% of respondents 2. Search based on location --> Filter those near places of interest --> Compare price and loyalty program perks: 41% of respondents   3. Search based on location --> Filter based on price/budget --> Compare loyalty programs perks: 30% of respondents So, #loyalty perks are the core decision factor for 27% of users and are an important consideration for nearly 71% of travellers. 🏨 Most popular international hotel loyalty programs in Singapore? - Marriott Bonvoy - 12% of respondents   - IHG Hotels & Resorts One Rewards – 11% of respondents    🎁 Most attractive loyalty perks by demographics - Gen Z (1997-2009)  - Top rewards preferences - Discounted/Complimentary Stays (44% of respondents), Early Check-in/Late Check-out (29%) and discounts/priority access to hotel facilities (29%). Millennials (1981-96)  - Top reward preferences - Discounted/Complimentary Stays (45%) and Early Check-in/Late Check-out (35%) Gen X (1965-80)  - Top reward preferences - Discounted/Complimentary Stays (48%) and Free Breakfast (36%) Baby Boomers (1946-64)   - Top reward preferences - Discounted/Complimentary Stays (44%) and Early Check-in/Late Check-out (31%) Much like other categories of travel, loyalty perks with high ROI and instant gratification, such as complimentary stays and early check-in/check-out, play a key role. And this is consistent across age groups. These survey results point towards an increasing consensus among travel operators – Without loyalty programs, much of international travel is extremely difficult (or impossible) for most travellers. ❇ For brands, this translates to travel rewards being a must-have redemption option.
