Our HQ was abuzz with chatter and positive energy as our colleagues were energised with our first-ever #ReCharge Day last week! Our sports and recreational interest groups also held their mini roadshows to recruit staff to join the chess, pickleball, and badminton teams. To beat the heat, over 800 cups of ice cream 🍦were handed out while the crowd was entertained by a live band 🎤 , which soon transformed into a mini K-session for our colleagues. SP staff also supported a good cause while enjoying specialty coffee, as part of the proceeds for each cup goes towards humanitarian needs. Over the next few months, SP’s ReCharge Day will be held at all our offices and depots islandwide. Stay tuned for more sneaks into the vibrant community@SP! 👀

SP had the pleasure of meeting Minister Rosan Roeslani earlier this week. We had an insightful exchange with him and his team, on opportunities for cross-border electricity trading to facilitate the clean energy transition in both countries and support the development of an ASEAN Power Grid. We discussed the importance of initiatives to accelerate renewable energy developments and support decarbonisation efforts towards the sustainability goals of our two nations. SP looks forward to closer collaboration with our Indonesia counterparts to advance energy infrastructure, technology and capabilities, in parallel with bilateral cooperation in progress on various fronts.

SP Group’s exclusive partnership with EV Connection will give electric vehicle (EV) drivers peace of mind as they drive across the Causeway. EV Connection is the operator of JomCharge – one of the largest EV charging networks in Malaysia. This cross-border collaboration will allow SP app users to use JomCharge’s chargers when in Malaysia, while JomCharge app users in Malaysia can charge their EVs on our network in Singapore. In the first phase, Aion EV customers in Singapore and Malaysia can purchase charging credits to be utilised across the Causeway. Plans to enable integrated roaming capabilities, where EV drivers can use either the SP or JomCharge app to charge their cars in both countries are in the works. Scaling up sustainability in the hospitality industry. This was the topic of a fruitful dialogue and networking afternoon hosted by SP Digital and Singapore Hotel Association (SHA). SHA members and representatives from the industry gained insights from SP’s speakers on smart utilities management and how hotels can achieve Super Low Energy Buildings status. Participants also learnt more about setting their carbon footprint on the right track and plugging into SP’s EV ecosystem in the transition to sustainable mobility. We look forward to hosting more sessions with like-minded businesses from different industries as they ramp up their sustainability journey.
