About us
The Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) promotes the adoption of fair, responsible and progressive employment practices among employers, employees and the general public. TAFEP is co-chaired by Mr Edwin Ng, Honorary Secretary, Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) Council and Ms Cham Hui Fong, Deputy Secretary-General, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Members include employer representatives, union leaders and government officials. Leveraging its unique tripartite identity, TAFEP works in partnership with employer organisations, unions and the government to create awareness and facilitate the adoption of fair, responsible and progressive employment practices. TAFEP provides tools and resources, including training workshops, advisory services, and educational materials, to help organisations implement fair employment practices. Those who have encountered workplace discrimination are welcome to contact TAFEP for advice and assistance or to provide their feedback. Singapore is one of the world’s most stressed societies (𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦: 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴). The call for flexibility in work arrangements is not just a trend but a necessity as our workforce spans from a rapidly aging population to Millennials and Gen Z navigating complex life demands. On October 23, I had the pleasure of moderating an insightful panel discussion with Pearl Yu, Director at Keystone Cable, and Adrian Ho (IHRP-SP), HR Manager at Dorsett Singapore (IHRP-SP), organized by the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (#IHRP) and #TAFEP. Together, we explored strategies to assess and manage FWAR, with Judith Alagirisamy, Senior Manager at TAFEP, who provided a comprehensive overview of TG-FWAR, guiding employers on their journey to implement FWAR in the workplace. ❗But what if your industry—say manufacturing or hospitality—requires staff on-site?
