Microclimate digital platform @ International Conference of Resilient Systems (ICRS)!! With the help of DT Lab, we were able to bring the Microclimate Digital Platform (MDP) live at the Future Resilient Systems (FRS) ICRS exhibition this week. The users can replace existing buildings with a new 3D printed physical model to visualise the imapct of design and density on the urban microclimate. MDP is a digital platform developed by our lab. If you are interested in knowing about the microclimate at other neighbourhoods, the MDP platform can be accessed at https://mdp.frs.ethz.ch/ Thank you Heiko Aydt, PhD, Awad M., Isabell Koh for making this physical interaction platform for the exhibition. 🎉Launch of Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA)'s 'Enabling Sustainable Growth: Shaping the Future of Work' Exhibition! Glad to have had Dr Adam Roberts and Dr Alberto Costa from our Future Resilient Systems (FRS) programme at the launch, which showcased innovative solutions shaping the future of #urbanplanning and #sustainability. 🏢🍃 In his opening address, Senior Minister of State Kiat How Tan shared the importance of "plan[ning] and design[ing] a diversity of spaces that can better meet the needs and aspirations of our workforce." 🗺️The Microclimate Digital Platform was also highlighted in the exhibition as part of the tools for digital urban planning. We're proud to have the work done by our Principal Investigator Dr Chao Yuan as part of the Urban Climate Design Lab being featured. Catch the exhibition from now until 📅3 Jan 2025 at the📍URA Centre.

Excited to share that we had the opportunity to present our latest work to Minister of Sustainability and Environment, Ms. Grace Fu, during the NUS Cities event - Towards a Healthy Singapore: Green Building Impact on Public Health! 🎉 It was an honor to showcase the Microclimate Digital Platform and our new field measurements using LiDAR and IoT sensing devices. Minister Fu’s insightful questions and genuine interest were incredibly encouraging. We look forward to the positive impact our work can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable Singapore! 🌿🌿 More information on the event and collaborations can be found at: https://lnkd.in/gwSm8b_R MDP: https://mdp.frs.ethz.ch/
