Last week, we hosted an insightful fireside chat that brought together some of the most influential figures in Singapore's fitness industry. The event featured Bebe Ding, co-founder of CruCycle, who shared her journey of building a thriving cycling community and reflected on how the fitness landscape for women has evolved since her company's inception. Olivia Ziyi Yiong, founder of Cheak, shared her experiences overcoming an eating disorder and how her passion for fitness led to the creation of her own brand. Additionally, Charlene Chew, calisthenics coach and beauty entrepreneur, delved into her burn recovery journey and the pivotal role fitness has played in her healing. On sunny island, Singapore, we have more sun than we know what to do with. So the Mandala Club decided to use it for solar energy. Mandala Club was founded by Ben Jones is situated within the Bukit Pasoh Conservation site, located within a three story art deco building built in 1928. Now, the social club is the first conserved building in Chinatown with approval from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) to install solar panels. To add solar panels to its roof, the social club will be partnering with Flo Energy, a green energy company licensed by the Energy Market Authority. “We are excited to be part of this history and we hope to inspire future solar deployments on more conserved buildings,” said Flo Energy CEO and co-founder, Matthijs Guichelaar. Mandala Club is also going one step further with their new initiative: the Mandala Solar Collective.
