🎉 We welcome the draft initiative report from Thomas Bajada on the European Water Resilience Strategy! 📄 The document:  🟢 Calls for the full implementation of the EU Green Deal and the integration of water considerations across all EU policies.  🟢 Highlights the vital role of nature-based solutions and urges the Commission and Member States to prioritize them for water resilience in their policies and recommendations.  🟢 Emphasizes the need for adequate public and private funding to support resilient water infrastructure, sustainable water management, nature-based solutions, water-efficient technologies, and biodiversity restoration. 🖊️ 💧 This is a strong starting point, but we will continue advocating for a greater focus on restoring the natural water cycle in urban areas and incentivizing green infrastructure—such as green roofs and walls—as key solutions. 🖊️ The integration of green infrastructure is crucial for the future of urban areas.
