Earlier this month, the talented entrepreneurs from our fourth OCIF Senegal cohort had the opportunity to pitch their businesses to a panel of distinguished investors, marking the culmination of eight months of intensive support, development and sheer hard work. 💡🚀 Many congratulations to our young entrepreneurs for their hard work and commitment: Latifa DIEDHIOU (Nutrivie), Lucie THIAO (Luxorus), Stéphane Mancabo (Yello App) and Sidy Aidara (Sassoumane). The future is no doubt very, very bright for you! Thank you to the INCO Ventures teams in Senegal : Nihale Mougaddar, Hawa Diaw, Julia Aïssani for inviting us to the Orange Corners Senegal (OCIF) Investment Pitch Night at the Third (Dakar). This event marked the culmination of eight months of intensive support and provided a platform to showcase four entrepreneurs : Sidy Aidara founder of SASSOUMANE, Lucie THIAO founder of LUXORUS, Latifa DIEDHIOU founder of Nutrivie and Stéphane Mancabo founder of Yello, from Cohort 4 of the Orange Corners Senegal program, a funding and acceleration programme initiated by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Senegal, represented by Rogier Hekking. These visionary entrepreneurs presented their projects to a diverse group of potential investors : Tijan Watt from Wuri Ventures, Anta Ndiaye from Sawari Ventures, Ndeye Thiaw from Brightmore Capital, Mohamed NGOM from Teranga Capital, Mohamed Ndiaye from Dakar Network Angels (DNA) and Aminata Diouf from On.Capital. Congratulations to the evening’s winner, Stéphane Mancabo, the founder of Yello!. Dans la continuité des efforts pour transformer la santé au Sénégal, le nouveau ministre de la Santé et de l'Action Sociale, Dr Ibrahima Sy a pu constater l'état d'avancement du déploiement du Dossier Patient Unique Partagé à l'hôpital Abass Ndao 🇸🇳. Il a tenu à rappeler l'importance de la digitalisation du parcours de soins et l'impact positif pour le patient mais également pour les professionnels de la santé et l'Etat. Ses remerciements pour notre implication et ses encouragements sont une réelle source de motivation pour poursuivre ces efforts à l'hôpital mais également à l'échelle nationale. Tout cela est en phase avec la digitalisation de l'administration érigée en très haute priorité par son Excellence le Président Bassirou Diomaye FAYE. [#8Mars] BEM Dakar a organisé, le vendredi dernier, dans le cadre de la journée internationale des droits des femmes, un panel sur “L’entreprenariat féminin au Sénégal” animé par Mmes Ndeye Thiaw, co-fondatrice de Brightmore Capital & Oumou Kaltom Sow FALL, directrice exécutive du pôle Risques et Engagements au CREDIT MUTUEL DU SENEGAL. Le Dr Khadim Bamba Diagne, professeur associé à BEM Dakar, a modéré cette rencontre pour honorer les femmes.  Pendant les discussions, plusieurs questions ont également été abordées et un moment d'échange avec les étudiantes a été observé. ➡Pour conclure, ces dames ont encouragé l'évolution des mentalités, mais surtout ont préconisé aux jeunes étudiantes et femmes entrepreneures de revendiquer leur autonomie ou encore leur souhait d'indépendance financière.

Il y a 364 jours avant et après le #8mars, l'investissement durable et inclusif surtout en #Afrique est un impératif de développement socio-économique. Je retiens de ce keynote que l'accompagnement peut servir comme levier de croissance lorsqu'il n'est pas axé sur une vision opposant accompagnement non financier et financier. Heureux d'avoir appris l'accompagnement, ces deux dernières années, par Brightmore Capital de 150 femmes et son investissement pour le renforcement des chaînes de valeur agroalimentaires, l'inclusion financière et le recyclage.
