The Mumbai Cricket Association has announced that ticket prices will remain at previous rates for the upcoming third Test of New Zealand’s tour of India. The fixture will get underway at the Wankhede Stadium from November 1-5.
India and New Zealand last played a Test here at Wankhede Stadium in 2021. India won the encounter by 372 runs. This match also saw Kiwi spinner Ajaz Patel created history by becoming only the third bowler in Test history to claim all 10 wickets in an innings.
Back in 2021, only 25 percent capacity (around 8000 people) were allowed per day due to COVID protocols and daily tickets were priced at Rs 125, while season tickets were Rs 375. In Wankhede, the VIP box tickets are anyway not for sale. They are invite-only and restricted to the officials, guests of BCCI and MCA.
This was a hike from the previous rates of Rs. 100 for a daily ticket and Rs. 300 for a five-day ticket.
