I DONT LIKE THIS GAME

Been playing through the entire Frogware Sherlock Series, and this is the first one that makes major changes to the gameplay and feel rather than just gradually improving on the previous games. I've been enjoying it, but it doesn't really feel like Sherlock Holmes the way the other games did.
The inclusion of more combat elements brings it closer to action than mystery, and the open world nature makes it seem more like Sherlock is just wandering around solving minor curiosities rather than hyper focusing on complex mysteries.
So long as you go into it expecting a different experience, it's still a fun game. There are definitely some gameplay elements being experimented with that are a little less smooth than the ones they've been honing for years with the prior games, like the aspect of having to "pin" evidence to be able to search for related clues, but it's good to see Frogware willing to try some more drastic changes than before.
