Old Epic Client Causing Conflicts

There is currently a bug where an older version of the Epic client causes the game to crash. This will be addressed in a future patch, but if you're having crash issues please uninstall and reinstall the Epic client.

Update the Epic Client or uninstall then reinstall the Epic client. you should be on 14.3.2 which is visible at the very bottom of the settings menu

This is due to an anti-virus issue. please add whitelisting to your anti-virus for the Darktide directory


Add Whitelisting For Game In Your Anti-Virus

Anti-virus conflicts can cause a wide arrange of issues, such as the crashify error above, 0x000005c or 0x0000007 errors, as well as many other seemingly unrelated problem.

Please ensure you have added a whitelist for Darktide in your anti-virus if you are

experiencing any issues

Run Steam As An Administrator
  • Go to c:\program files\steam\
  • Right click ->Properties on steam.exe
  • Click the Compatibility tab
  • Check "Run this program as an administrator

There is no exe when running Warhammer 40,000 : Darktide Closed Beta

Note that you should not be using the Steam “Warhammer 40,000 : Darktide Closed Beta” as that is no longer in use

If you pre-ordered the game you should be able to launch the game from your library as Warhammer 40,000 : Darktide. The current beta is only available to pre-order customers


Delete Darktide Appdata

Delete Darktide AppData
Press the Windows key + R
Enter %appdata% within the search input and select 'OK'
Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
Delete the Darktide directory
Launch Darktide as normal


Reinstall DotNet

Launcher-related issues can often be resolved by repairing your .NET Framework installation.

Please download .NET Framework 4.7.2 from the Microsoft website linked below. The installer should then prompt you with an option to repair your installation. UPDATE YOUR VIDEO DRIVERS

Its extremely important you update your video drivers as a first step. The latest drivers can address many issues such as crashing and other issues. Issues that you might see

* Random crashes
* Shader Cache errors
* Pretty much anything

If I can't play duos with bots. My friends and I will not be getting this, so the sooner we get an answer about it the better.

Getting a confirmation sooner rather than later would be nice.

Because if it turns out that there aren't going to be private teams with bots then I will immediately refund the game and not waste any more time on it playing the Beta.

I wouldn't personally go so far as quitting over it, but this is a question me and my buddies have. WE really like to screw around and take our time. we don't want to drag down serious players with our shenanigans.

Does anyone know of a fix for my issue, Im at the Performing first time setup Installing Microsoft .NET Framework which is the final step it has been in a infinite setup state, i feel like ive tried everything but i have no idea what to do.

This would generally point to either your local DNS having issues (because the DNS queries go through your tunnel) or your local firewall blocking the game from connecting (because the VPN bypasses your local firewall)

To address the 1st issue, try manually setting your DNS settings to OpenDNS or GoogleDNS

For the 2nd issue try disabling your local firewall as a test

Sill no private lobby, and the mouse on screen bug is still present hopefully soon they will get fixed or patched

I just wanted to say thank you for the help I think i did what you recommended but it didnt look like anything was downloaded also checked my OS and am windows 10 all updated. but ill try to figure it out. thank you again
