can you use your keyboard toplay instead of a controller

Thinking of replaying this to finally finish it (having played it years ago when it was only half done). But I read all sorts of reviews back then that put me off as they indicated the second part was rushed, unfinished, unsatisfactory ending, moonlight puzzles impossible to solve without a guide, lack of story or character development, etc... With the benefit of time, is it really that bad, or worth playing? Just point and click adventures are so far and few in between these days, and I feel like I want...
