Like many of you, Sid Meier's Pirates is a game that I spent perhaps too much time on in my younger years, along with games like Tradewinds - and for the past 3 years, I have been working on a game that... if it's not too bold to say, is a spiritual successor to Pirates and Tradewinds. hello fellow Pirates o7 So im new to the game, just finding my feet, and starting on lowest level. ive flipped a port on the Spain main, purely as a base to refit and recruit and sell my ill gotten Spanish goods... my question is, how do i help build up the town? its got no soldiers, no fort, and just doesnt do very well financially. all i can seem to do is escort a new guv, or bring in some immigrants from the local monks. thanks for any replies....

I know it gives you quests, but is there any other point to dancing?
