First 45 days are a cool SCP-esque monster management sim. Days 46+ are a series of incredibly unfun challenges, that make sure you will get bald from all the hair you pulled out after each time RNG screwed you.
Game is a really cool concept, but it becomes so unfun to play later on.

I will say its a good game, and if you like the idea of exploring and learning about the abnormality you house, the game is pretty good about you letting learn and do work. That being said I do not fault anyone for just going into this with a wiki open, since it would save you from a ton of resets. That being said you do retain somethings when you do have to restart. EGO weapons and armor along with observation information you have unlocked for the abnormalities. Also having those unlocked will have the proper names rather than their code on the selection screen.

Now if you really dislike some of the more frustrating parts, there have been a lot of mods to help with that. For instance increasing the EGO limit of all items to 5 (letting you get more gear overall), free appearance changing, unlimited LOB points, and l think there are also mods that revive killed employees but with a stat penalty. So if you wanna experience the story of LC for the other games without the pressure of getting a good run.
