If you like Total war games in my opinion this is the best one.

My absolute favourite Total War game, the campaign level gameplay is so deep here and that's where I prefer to spend most time. That's not to say the combat is boring, it's not. But the campaign depth shines so brightly!

Purchased this game on release years ago, and probably should have returned it. Seems like a downward slide for historical Total War games.

I held off on this one for a LONG time. Some of the negative reviews frightened me off, however, some of the mods, like Radious, gave me hope. Bought it the DLC on sale.

Refunded after only one hour. The game is just too difficult to be fun. I miss the old Rome Total War days. Even Shogun 2 is much for fun than this and easier to learn. There needs to be a balance between fun and difficulty and this one fails in that regard.

The other problem is I'm just not interested in ancient Chinese history. I knew this going in, but thought I would give it a try anyway.

Despite my feelings, I'm giving this a thumbs up because I respect game developers and the hard work involved. Some have found this game extremely fun and rewarding. I wish I was one of them.
