Shoppe Keep, as implied by the name, is a game where you run your own shop. You sell items and gear to adventurers, much like in Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale.

Except if you're expecting anything like Recettear, don't bother with this game. Most of the time I was "playing" it - I ended up spending waiting for customers. I tried thinking of positive points, but all I could come up with was the general concept, which has a lot of potential, and the soundtrack, which is decent. Unlike Recettear, though, there's no story, no content, and there's pretty much nothing to do. You just wait around, scratching your nuggets while waiting for customers.

All in all, this is a cheap, stripped-down replica of Recettear. I'd pay triple the price to play a good shopkeeper game. Too bad that at least to my knowledge, at the time of writing this review, Recettear is still the only one that exists.

TL;DR - Another piece of junk to collect virtual dust on my Steam games list.

If and when Shoppe Keep gets improved, I'll gladly give it another chance and reconsider my opinion, although I doubt any gimmicks they add will be enough to offset what I consider to be major gameplay design flaws. As things stand now, I'd rather play Recettear as it is, than wait for Shoppe Keep to go through major transformations (which are unlikely anyway).

And yes, I went over the tutorial menu. Looks like a potential cure for insomnia. ;)

"and I don't find it relevant either. If 3 people are not enough to make a decent game, they should've got more people on the project. Making a luosy game and then cry there were only 3 of them is just making excuses."

Well there is something you are wrong about. They aren't crying that they only have 3 people working on it or making excuses, they have been working on this game trying to make it better. Hell, looking on twitter it seems the next patch will add VR support. That is the difference between this game and Recettear, Recettear will never get patched again so any problems you encounter in it you will just have to accept. But Shoppe Keep will get patched and it will continue to grow and evolve because the team behind it doesn't want to just abandon it for the next project.

Oh, and you probably should have looked on the tutorial menu if you were having problems finding the perk page that shows and describes everything you can unlock.

Even if there's more to the game than I know, I'd expect to get some hints about it while playing. I'd happily go online and look for information when I'm stuck or confused about something in a game, but it seems kinda silly if I have to ask for help just to figure out what the game has to offer, doesn't it? And to unlock something, I first have to realize it's even there, waiting for me, don't I?

Regarding how many people work in each company - I don't have that information, and I don't find it relevant either. If 3 people are not enough to make a decent game, they should've got more people on the project. Making a luosy game and then cry there were only 3 of them is just making excuses.

I used to be all about Indie games, but I'm getting really overwhelmed with all the lacking and half-baked games we've been getting, all riding on the "Indie" tag. I'm done with that, sorry.

Sounds like you didn't unlock the champion, crafting, or the garden yet. And you know you can increase how many people are spawned into town right? And for those that aren't interested in your shop, you can run up and sell stuff to them face to face.

Something else to keep in mind, I can't find exact numbers but I bet more than 3 people work at EasyGameStation.
