This is a game I find very difficult to review, simply because I'm just not sure how to describe and explain how come I like it so much. The general concept in Stardew Valley is to build and maintain the farm you inherited from your grandfather, while maintaining your relationships with the town folks. It's sort of a hybrid between a farming simulator and a dating simulator, and I dare say that it's the first game of either of those genres I find enjoyable (excluding Agarest, which also includes a dating component).

The graphics aren't anything special, and neither is the soundtrack, but the gameplay mechanics seem to be solid enough to carry the game without much help from the audio-visual department. Basically, you plant, maintain and harvest crops, and buy and take care of farm animals. Any time you feel tired of that, you can go fishing, socializing in town or go fight and find treasures in a local mine. You can add buildings and features to your farm (once you have enough money and resources) so you can expand it and make it a money-making machine. Add to that crafting and gathering, and you get quite a lot of options of how to go about your farming carear.

While there is the ocasional bug or problem, the game is stable and runs smoothly 99% of the time, no special problems noted. All in all, if you like this type of simulation games, try Stardew Valley, as it seems to do everything right.

Kk, I understand. I, on the other hand, am going to keep doing things my way, regardless of what anyone else has to say about it. Stometimes you get to swim along the current, but sometimes you're forced to swim against it. Maybe sometime you'll feel like jumping in again. :)

I don't consider your group insignificant, more like not having the influence to change it since it's 50 people against tens of millions. It's simply too much, a lost fight if you will. And I've given up on making something they clearly don't want or need.

You haven't disappointed me. I share your frustration and your anger with the current system. I simply go about it a different way. I'm trying to do what I feel is good and right, trying to improve the situation, while not expecting any significant changes overnight. The group I'm a part of is all about serious reviews, and while you might consider us and others like us an insignificant drop in an endless ocean, I consider us a beacon of light in this dark, cold universe, if you pardon the melodrama. :)
If you ever change your mind and feel like writing reviews again, I'm sure you'll make a difference.

Np, you are the first person who went that far to encourage me doing this, so I'm not happy about disappointing you. It's hard to find friendly faces around here.

Kk, it was your decision to make, and I understand your reasons. Thanks for taking the time to explain, I appreciate it. :)

I apologize after seeing the encouragement from you, but I decided to decline the invitation. I simply can't see any reason I would continue posting reviews on Steam, for the whole design is a terrible joke and it'd only make me upset to see trash getting well received while actually good ones hated. If it's gonna be like that, then I'm better off simply pulling out and not care what other people waste their money on thanks to the trolling of those who treat the system as what it is, and just play when I can what I can.

I already pulled down what I've uploaded in accordance to my decision. Sorry for disappointing you, and best wishes to you.
