I overall enjoyed my time in the game, and wanted to rate this positively, but it just felt so much like an early access game.
-You cannot jump, vault, or run. Short railings will halt your progress.
-Enemies will spot you immediately at any range, and proceed to land headshots like pro snipers even if they are supposedly crackheads.
-tons of guns, but differences are not explained. Armor is not explained, and I cannot tell what the differences are?
Supposedly it makes you slower and stronger, but I noticed neither with max weight.
-Stunning an enemy doesn't mean you can cuff them. They have to resume consciousness to then surrender and allow cuffing.
- Kicking a door into someone's head does not stun them. It might stun you, though.
- Melee is a pathetic poke that has no effect on enemies. Enemies WILL wreck you with melee, though.
- Gender is locked to Male for some reason.

I overall don't feel like a pro swat officer, I feel like an incompetent undertrained out of shape beat cop who was handed some explosives.

All of the above would be fine for an early access game, but not a game dropped at a AAA price point, and considered 'complete'.
Wait for a sale, I recommend 60-80% off.

Like others have said, the universe feels very empty, and it is quite obvious that it is procedurally generated.

Every distress call is just a random chore equivalent to janitor duty, salvage is just a pile of fuel/fruit floating on a small platform. Every planet is the same.

The repetitiveness hits long before you get your second cargo upgrade, and it makes it really feel like a soulless game, instead of an immersive universe.

"Procedurally Generated" is often marketed as "infinite replayability", but that's only true if you spent as much effort on the generation logic as you would have making 100 unique planets.. which they clearly did not.
I couldn't get through my first playthrough in such a lifeless universe.
While the game isn't marked as early access, it does seem to have a regular flow of updates happening, including decently sized ones.

I plan to keep an eye on this one and will update my review as new features drop!

Game is now actually accessible to play most of the time. Good time to buy.
Plenty of bugs, but none of the frustrating kind any longer.
Amazing, addictive, and one of the rare games that is fun with randoms + friendly fire.

This game is absolutely amazing.

I cannot describe it in words. It's just great.
The music, the art, the dialogue, everything complements the complex story they tell.

I love this. I wouldn't change a thing.

Very cool story with depth and intrigue.
Worth playing through to the final ending.

This is a fun re-imagining of chess, with a ton of retro environmental atmosphere added in.

It remains turn-based like chess, but you can see which pieces will move next, and in some cases multiple enemy pieces will move at once.

I would say the key difference is the presence of a shotgun that you can use to destroy groups of enemy pieces.

10/10 for $10

I was initially having a lot of fun with this, but I kept getting dragged all the way down by the game's auto-clicking that makes you beg for money from the nearest person.

Essentially, I tried to go to work, the game auto-corrected to a nearby person, and the police gave me a warning.
Frustrated, I tried again, it auto-corrected again, and I was 'moved to a new area'

When this happens, the old area is destroyed, you lose your shelter, job, bank account (and all money is deleted, too)

The bus will not bring you back to an old area, either. You only get one warning.

Again, I never begged on purpose, it was always while trying to move around.
After several hours of building back up, this happened again, the same way. I never found out what a job looked like, as I kept losing everything from the auto-begging while trying to go to work.

I highly doubt homeless people in real life accidentally beg while trying to go somewhere else.

I got this in the Humble Choice bundle, and it was a really fun play.

Runs are pretty short, but can take up to a few hours, so be aware that there is no 'save and quit' or other way to set the game down if you didn't intend to be as successful as you were.
