Playing this game again after nearly a quarter century has been an intense experience, with so many years of subsequent games it feels like opening a time-capsule to an earlier period. • The install footprint is tiny, you get amazing FPS and it runs on almost everything
• The pace of the game is almost blindingly fast, a cacophony of sound and blood awaits you
• The 80's action movie theme inspired weapons and their behaviour adds just the right amount of randomness
• Limited ammunition heightens the challenge, dropping your empty weapon and picking up another adds to the action film vibe
• A selection of skins in the Player Settings creates a wild pre-DLC atmosphere
• The bandaging mechanic was, and remains, a game-changer when used at the right time
• The new antilag functionality is very welcome and broadens who you can play with/against
• Dig deeper and discover an incredibly friendly, helpful and long-lived community with seemingly endless content
