What is it? Over the Dream is a documentary movie about Virtus Pro, a CIS based Dota 2 team, Dread, a Dota 2 match analyst and also former competitive player from CIS region, and mob5ter a Dota 2 Russian commentator. The documentary follows their journey in The International 2015 (TI 5) main event - The biggest annual dota 2 event held every July till August.

I'll just make this review based on Pros and Conts and then draw the conclusion based on my opinion.

Pros :
- Show the insight about VP players and their emotions before and after the game. The movie also captures every players' opinion toward each other and also notable dota 2 figures' view about them such as v1lat, LoH, and XBOCT.
- Get to know Dread and mob5ter better and how they view their job about commentator and analyst.
- Take a peek to the 'back office' of the commentator and analyst in The International 2015 and some CIS based tournaments, such as Starladder
- Steam trading cards to craft badges and get emoticons/backgrounds for diehard VP fans

Cons :
- The English dubbing is simply awful, some of it were out of place, for example when introducing the casters/players. It is quite confusing for non-Russian speaker like me.
- No match details is included in the movie (the strats, the brackets, the groups, etc), the movie only show random things (heroes walking, fighting randomly, etc) in the matches with some random commentary that failed to give a proper explanation. This movie is only understandable if you have followed or watched VP journey in The International 2015 and have some knowledge about Dota 2. Otherwise, don't even bother watching this.
- The movie did not go into details about VP's journey pre-TI 5, where they disbanded their main squad once before rebuilt this roster with VP.Polar squad. I felt this could make the documentary much more interesting.
- The details about each player's life was lacking, and therefore it did not leave a deep impression for me.

Although this movie is only a documentary, it did give a glimpse to observers about the CIS' representatives in The International 2015. However, Over the Dream's lack in 'story depth' made the message it tried to deliver seems too blurry because it did not go through much details about each players' life (only little were shown), while the matches shown in it were very confusing to understand.

As I have stated before, SKIP THIS DOCUMENTARY if you do not have any knowledge about dota 2 or The International 2015 and if you want a new player-friendly introduction movie for Dota 2 or even eSports in general, grab Free to Play instead. However, I do recommend this documentary If you are a passionate follower of the Dota 2 scene especially in CIS region as the insight shown in it was quite enjoyable which made this a quite nice 'raw documentary'.
