Arrowhead and Helldivers 2 By extension have had a bumpy road. I've been here since close to the beginning, the release of cutting edge and the sony fiasco. I am still quite upset that Spitz, someone who stood up for the players in a crucial time for the game was torn up and thrown out for daring to go against the company. It's frankly disgusting and shows a blatant lack of respect for the customer by whoever made the decision. I suspect, It was a demand of sony, since despite being forced to back down from account linking by sheer force of backlash, the countries they would have been effected and been unable to play the game are still completely unable to purchase or play.

Following that, there was months of toxic development, putting weapon balance in comperison to each other above all other things, even at the expense of whether the end changes stripped something of the fun it was to use.

Escalation of freedom was an unmitigated disaster and the culmination of this philosophy, massively increasing the difficulty of all levels while bringing fan favorite weapons to never before seen lacks of power. The backlash was so great it finally seems to have snapped them out of their toxic balance at all costs philosophy.

Thankfully, fun seems to be the new priority even at the expense of balance. A total stripping of balance isnt necessarily a good thing, but fun is far more important. Because if It's not fun, What's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point anyways. I truly hope they never return to their old mindset, but there is always a fear they will.

Take this to heart and keep it there Arrowhead.
