Early Access Review
A game that has fully-implemented macrotransactions before it has the ability to customize your controls doesn't deserve a positive review. I would wager the game is making very few sales if it's effectively gone free-to-play while still in Early Access -- sounds like an act of desperation for some quick cash. Will make sure not to support these developers in the future.

There are no microtransactions implemented in the game whatsoever at this point, so your review is somewhat misleading.

It will eventually go free to play later this year, as has always been the plan (as has this free weekend, as we need a few more users to start testing matchmaking).

Key binding is coming in the next patch, in the mean time you can customise your controls following this guide from the community:

Tybolt Apr 20, 2015 @ 12:45am You're complaining about a game being in early access for six months ? May I remind you of EVE and Star Citizen. I think you may not be aware of what it takes to make a good game. Some fail and some win, with the reviews I think it will win.

However I am no going to assume the worst because at the current rate they are doing fine some what you are arguing is the minority who sound a little un-educated on the matter.

I don't mean to be rude but I am a realist...I don't sugar coat the truth.

Seems like a rather personal issue that you're just bummed out that there isn't a way to rebind keys yet. Your review as stated is VERY misleading. If someone didn't take the time to read the developers comments then they might get a very different picture of the game. I have yet to play it but I see no reason why this is as big a concern as you're making it. MANY games put out DLC such as this and it's a way for people, who really want to support a title, to buy it and support the developers so that they can continue what they're doing. Compared to other games this game has is one of the least microtransaction-hungry games out there. Hell even bigger titles have DLC that would cost over $75 in total but are still in the process of fixing their game. This is normal. You aren't required to buy anything. If they say they're going to add rebindable keys, I'm sure they will. It's in early-access for crying out loud. Perhaps let the game be finished and THEN make a decision.

Negative review just for EA being EA? Really?

Game's addictive and fun. Just dont pay if you don't want to. Bug reporting is enough for any EA game. Bcs, you know

Stanith,

I've noticed this isn't the first time you've attempted to deny that there's no store or micro/macrotransactions when others have pointed it out, so you might want to be made aware this is somehow present in your game:

If I'm able to grasp the mental gymnastics in play here correctly, it would appear that selling skins in bundles/founder packs aren't being counted as microtransactions, but they really are, especilaly when some of them offer an improved in-game experience like bonus experience. There's also framework for a premium currency present? The issue here however isn't with the fact these exist, but rather the point that they've been implemented in the game along with a storefront to assist in buying them before things like bindable controls or a legitimate tutorial have -- these should be considered core game features.

Tybolt,

As I said before, there are no microtransactions in the game whatsoever (as you'd have seen if you actually bothered to click the store button). The only thing you can buy for our game is from the Steam store page, which are the founders packs. The founders packs are no different to those in any other free to play game currently in alpha/beta.

Microtransactions will not be a priority until the game is closer to completion and nearing free to play.

Stanith

i hate to agree, because i farely enjoy your game (so addictive) but you are selling skins in early access, and many games (evolve, h1z1) are EXTREMLY critizised for doing such a thing, its why ive never bought evolve, i get that you need support, and selling skins (thank god not pay to win) is a easy way, but from a consumers point of view, it can seem.. sketchy you know? especially with SOOOO many Eearly access games well.. getting unfinished, ive invested in around 8 EA games, only one that was finished in a decent time, was ARMA 3 :/

>"There are no microtransactions implemented in the game whatsoever at this point, so your review is somewhat misleading."

What are you talking about? There is literally a storefront for skins, crew members, and boosters present on the main menu of the game. There's even complaints about it on the forum. This indicates that hocking additional purchases took precedence over implementing an actual in-game system for binding controls. The priorities in play are not the correct ones and most certiantly not the ones of reputable developers, even moreso for a game that's been in early access for almost six months now?

Millenia:
>"Actually, if you read the store page, the eventual plan was to always go free to play once the game is fully out of early access."

That just seems really sketchy, regardless of whether or not you've been telegraphing it, so excuse me if I don't approve of it.
Millenia 19 Apr, 2015 @ 3:35am
Actually, if you read the store page, the eventual plan was to always go free to play once the game is fully out of early access. The point of a free weekend was to increase the player base to stress test and to get enough players to implement a matchmaking system in the game, among other things. It's all outlined fairly openly so I dunno why you'd make hasty conclusions.
