i think a surefire way to kill any choose ur own adventure, otome game, is to make the reader feel like their options mattered very little at the end.... the only thing that is carrying this game is no doubt the art style (thank you sh00lace) and the atmospheric music.,,, each character has a very bleak ending, and you need to get these 2 special bleak endings to ultimately unlock the special true ending... which is also bleak and definitely not worth the effort to unlock it.

i understand that not every ending has to be a happy ending, but if your main audience that you funded the game from are otome-enjoyers, then at least do not masquaerade (ha get it, bcus this vn is 1000% inspired by VtM) itself as one.

(and please, i still don't understand why the dev is so insistent on """"""punishing""""" the otome enjoyer community while at the same time spewing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of BL ones.... )

the game feels more like a game of political intrigue rather than any sort of otome that i was hoping for.
i wouldn't even say its story-rich? it's more like "i gotta go after x so whichever faction that I want to win ends up winning."
so it is more mechanic-reliant than actual plot

the concept is there and its unique but the execution feels rather not fleshed out.
pretty hard to get immersed with how often you need to replay certain things. (unless done well, in general i do not think the concept of replayability and visual novel goes hand in hand)

its pretty good if ur ok with playing games over and over again and also if u like micromanaging

meat to the bone that is Degraman ( is the first thing i thought of when i launched the game with the DLC lol )

this DLC adds a prologue and overwhelmingly much more options than the free version, allows you to name the MC, and lets you customize the MC (which affects the CGs!). also, the Loner route is not something to avoid as it adds bit and pieces to the plot; which is something you'd be interested in if you want to know the extent of the lore of Degraman.

if you're interested in the lore of Degraman beyond getting to know Vincent, this DLC is a must

a rare gem for the niche otome VN lovers :D

slightly spoiler-y, but don't get thrown off by the insta-harem indication at the beginning, it is all part of the plot.
the free version of the game offers you Vincent route, but the dev has indicated that more routes are coming in the future, and there is currently more routes in the DLC (which I have yet to buy but planning to purchase)

there are SO many high-quality CGs in Vincent's route alone (even though I just started) that I'm surprised that the base game itself is free. if you can, make sure to purchase the DLC to support the devs!
