Thank you. I got this riddle solved with the Steam support: When I set my profile on private and then back to public, it can take till one week till I re-appear on my friends top six list. Steam updates itself once per week, mostly tuesday midnight.

It depends, you can set resource count when starting the game, 0.5x,1x, 2x, etc. up to "infinite"
So you can play how you want. I play at 3x because it generally last a LONG time, plus you can research improved mining which lowers use of resources. like 1 out produces 3 pieces for example. In Effect 180k Coal would actually give you 540k to use.
