It finally came out.
And it's good.

Early Access Review
The game is enjoyable and shows a lot of promise but be aware that it is full of jank and that can be frustrating, getting stuck on terrain is common and the vaulting is questionable when you need it to work.

It's fun though and the visuals are keeping me engaged, I'm glad I've played it now because I can see it evolving nicely in the future.

In short, it's cheap Resident Evil and it does feel like it but there's also a certain charm to it.

I wouldn't recommend it for £24.99 but there's various places you can get it cheaper and it's not a bad game to run through. If you are planning on playing it and you've had prior experience with RE games then jump straight into hard, I had ammo for days and it was a bit of a joke.

So after watching Mandalore's video on both stasis games (Minus the spoiler section) I bought both games almost instantly as the world intrigued me. Now after spending 18 hours (between both games) in the world, I can say that it was great and honestly? Bone Totem is such a step up from the first that I would say the first isn't mandatory unless you want to understand how completely twisted and stupid Cayne are.

Great characters, amazing world with crazy visuals and just an all around interesting horror experience.
Worth the price, on sale I would say must buy.
(Also there's boatloads of references in both games for all to keep their eyes out for)

So I like short reviews,
The game has the atmosphere of most Sci-Fi horror media out there, there's body horror, evil corporations and mad science.
While there's a small amount of clunk, I know this is one of the earlier projects from The Brotherhood and hopefully when I get to Stasis Bone Totem, it'll be a little more refined.
It's a solid little experience and for the price you pay you're looking at a more or less equal time to money ratio, the puzzles are fun but there's a few that I honestly question how someone would figure out, I managed to get through mostly guide-free and ended with a near 6 hour playtime.

After playing the first and then immediately buying the sequel after finishing it, I gotta say it was a great experience. A cinematic adventure.

Requiem takes all that made the first game good and irons out the few small problems, the characters are vastly better in the sequel too as each person has their little share of the limelight and they're wonderfully written and acted out. I'll keep it short, if you enjoyed the first game and want the conclusion to Amicia and Hugo's story, buy the game and enjoy the journey.

So after continuing to conquer my backlog, I finally played A Plague Tale and to cut a long story short, I finished one game on the list but I am going to add another after I post this.

First off, the game is beautiful as it's focused more on the story and setting compared to the gameplay which is serviceable, back to the parts where the game excels, the characters. We follow Amicia and Hugo through the french countryside and towns which was enjoyable and it evoked feelings of The Last of Us as they bond together, have a falling out and then reunite, repeatedly. The antagonists of the game are not exactly top tier as you have rats, knight man (Fighter of the day man) and religious nutjob, I've given them about as much depth as the game does.

Gameplay is generic stealth for the most part, if you let knights/rats get to you then you die so you're better off hitting objects to distract, sneak and rock your way to victory. Light plays a role in dealing with the rats and later humans, being able to ward off the rats or taken out to let the rats deal with thy enemies. There's also crafting.

It's pretty much what it says on the tin and for the current price of £7, highly recommend for a short game with decent quality.

So, for me the remake is already pretty ace, I haven't ventured far enough into citadel station yet to find anything that's awful compared to the original, it's mostly all the same or straight improvements, it's awesome seeing all these old areas with a completely new coat of paint.

So far my biggest complaint is that I first played through System Shock before the original release date, nearly 7 years ago (I think, might be 6), since then I've played through it multiple times but considering the struggled development, it seems to have turned out pretty great.
Now for SS2EE.

So I was looking forward to an excuse to play through the game again on my preferred platform, this is genuinely awful and according to the PC specs info-graphic they released around the start of march I should be able to play this game at high settings with 60 fps but it's not even close, second I click on high or even medium, my VRAM usage goes straight into the red with about 10gb required.
Now I haven't upgraded in a couple of years and I would still say my PC is above average but this game makes it feel like a toaster, how? All the past exclusives have run flawlessly and been pretty good ports (Horizon was a bit iffy) but this one seems to be such a performance hog that I think they only ran it on top of the line PCs.
Very disappointing.
