fans ~75% speed
*frame gen: LSFG 2.1 x2 (performance: on), no scaling, gpu: 3070, 1440p

because people review bomb without spending 2 minutes to check the forum, this is what the dev's said:

"We are aware that some players are receiving messages that they have been reported.
If you've received a notice saying you have been reported, rest assured that this is a bug and your account is safe. We are investigating this issue."

+world is huge
+has a lot of content
+gameplay is fun
+looks nice
+great atmosphere
+characters have character
+has quite a few *ok thats cool* moments

-too many repetitive elements
-repetitive npc behavior
-loot could be more interesting
-lighting bug indoors (too bright, devs are working on it)
-game crashes for some people (most likely due to intel f*ck up, devs are working on it)*
*I've played 80+ hrs, 0 crashes so far and still no end in sight

overall its a great game!

You can buy almost everything in the game with real money, because of that:
  • grinding good items takes a lot of time, or money
  • you will be bombarded with items so you can either spend a lot of time managing your inventory, or spend money
  • many good items that will make things easier you can only buy with gems, real money
the amount of gold you can farm to buy gems is only a fraction of what you need
  • there are so many design choices that seem weird and annoying at first but then you realise in most cases its the monetization behind it.

The game feels like it is build around it's monetization and that for a game that costs 100$

Fomo is everywhere and well placed so you most likely fall for it
  • example: some of the best daily rewards you can only get if you buy an Expansion
The quality of the game does not justify the amount of money you have to spend
  • example: some very low resolution textures right next to higher resolution textures, sometimes even on the same armor

If you buy one expansion, you can't buy the full pack anymore, means you can't buy Living World through steam. You then have to buy it through the gem store which is way more expensive.

The community is friendly and helpful as long as you are positive about the game.
To win in this game you need good gear, to get good gear you either spend a rediculous amount of time or you swpie.
For me thats pay to win.

For the record, this is not an impulsive review, I thought the exact same when I had 50 hrs, I thught the same with 500 hrs, I have stopped playing it for a bit and I still think the same now.

If you spend enough money and time on the wiki maybe the game becomes good after 1k hours, seems like a lot of people went through the torture and like it in the end. I hope this helps with your descision.
