Just like many others are saying, the throttle input doesn't work properly. Makes the game pretty much unplayable as you pretty much have no control over your throttle. From what I can tell the game isn't being patched anymore either, so this will likely never be fixed.

Don't waste your money.

Doesn't support Logitech g29. Trying to use one means no force feedback and absurdly sensitive steering.

For reference: I am using a logitech G29 racing wheel.

The game is broken because there is no way to have my throttle pedal not inverted. There is a setting to either invert or not invert the input from the throttle pedal, but oddly the throttle is inverted regardless of which I set it to. This is means in game I'm always flat out on the throttle and I have to press the pedal down to not be accelerating. Its too annoying and pretty much undriveable.

Unplayable with logitech g29 even when using an xbox controller emulator. Its a nightmare to even try to change controls because the game keeps taking input from your wheel / pedals / controller to navigate the actual menu.

This is a truely unique game. If the idea of a game which immerses the player in a primitive world appeals to you, this should be your go to. The only other game I can even really compare this to is Farcry Primal, but Ancestors absolutely blows it out of the water.

The game throws you off the deep end to begin with. I recommend looking up a few online guides to get started because there is no real in-game tutorial.

The way progression works without an individual protagonist is very unique. Skills are shared by your whole tribe and some forms of progress actually require the player to advance time, allowing a new generation to grow up allowing older members to die. With the player also having the ability to switch between tribe members, there is a very real sense that there is no protagonist except for the species.

The gameplay scratches a similar itch to games like Rimworld and DayZ in that the principle challenge is being tossed into an unknown and hostile world and barely clinging on to survival. The key difference with this game though is the primitive setting, which it absolutely nails with a rich world full of prehistoric animals and vegetation to immerse the player in.

I purchased the "Skyrim SE - 750 CC Credits" option on steam. I did not actually get those credits in-game. Steam support says to contact bethesda, bethesda says to contact steam support about this issue. Basically wasted $8.

Combines elements of dayZ and minecraft and the end result is probably the best survival game on the market right now.

Awful combat interface. Makes the game infuriating to play. Other than that the game seemed to offer very little in the way of the "open world" promised. Very little choice involved generally.

Balls.
