Firstly this is a place holder review. I will flesh it out as I play and progress.

Yup there are bugs, it's early access.
I am enjoying the game even with the frustration, maybe I am a sucker for punishment.
I love the vision of the game and want to see it succeed.

Awesome game, easy to get addicted to and a massive enjoyable time sink. 10/10 would crawl a wall world again.

This game is amazing and a must play if you love a great story driven game. I literally borrowed a friends PS4 and purchased the full game on his account just to play this game. I've purchased it again so I can 100% complete it, and so my sons can also experience it. So don't judge on my current low PC hours as I'm letting my son play it on Family share.

I'm playing on a i7 8700k with SSD, a 1660TI GPU, and 32GB RAM, I was originally running on outdated Nvidia drivers and had a warning before playing, and did not experience any crashes. I then updated and had to sit through second shader rebuild(So Advise updating drivers before starting), and again have still not had any crashes. I'm running at 3440 x 1440 21:9 and on Ultra graphics settings. I can see subtle differences and it is evident it has been polished so it looks better in higher resolutions. (I also played on PS4 in the same resolution on the same curved monitor)

I totally disagree with anyone calling this a bad port, it does not feel like a ported game. it feels like a natural PC game and it plays well. Given the complexity of the PC part market, there will always be people that experience issues. (Steam at least offers refunds, so its not like you can't take advantage of it if you are affected by such an issue.)

My sons experience: Ryzen 3600, 12GB RAM 1050TI and experiencing crashes.
My other Son: FX8350, 12GB Ram and 1050 is not experiencing crashes.
both have latest drivers.

I Love Ark, but I'm going to be honest here, Genesis is big let down. The community has created better maps than this. I'm really disappointed I pre-ordered this at full price not just for myself, but also my 3 sons.
I don't recommend buying.

I came, I saw, I found addiction, 1500+ hours of addiction until I realized my real life was in ruins and I had no choice but to go cold turkey. This game is amazing and I love every moment of it. I definitely got more than my money's worth, but more than that I got to experience the fun of what games should be.

This game is awesome.
I was up to 2AM playing it and did not want to go to bed, I woke at 7:30AM to continue playing.
Needs a good graphics card if you want to play it on highest settings.
Has single load (yes it is long even on SSD) but you get no other load screens.
I encountered no bugs or glitches in my first 6 hours of play.
I am playing offline to learn the mechanics in PVE. I will go to PVP servers Once learned)
It has dedicated server option.
I named my Pet Warthog "BattleBacon!", he died to a reaper moments later, now onto BattleBacon2.0
This game is is great and now my wallet is going to hurt because my 3 sons are going to want it also.
