Not sure how to even go about the review.

TLDR the story telling is the only thing that is good with the game, of course because it's Bethesda. However to take into account how many flaws of basic functionality of this game has - it can not sustain a player base with just a few good quests.

For starters the mapping is one of the worst I've seen in a very long time, it's VERY confusing and extremely overwhelming- even after 60 hours it just never makes sense. Quest givers constantly pop out of thin air just to give quest that take you out of your zone- While I understand the reasoning to get you to explore all the zones, you never really get to explore an area because you are constantly encouraged to go to others, very counter intuitive.

That being said with graphics set to maximum and playing on 4k around 100 fps ( FPS capped at 100 in game forced by game options ) all of the zones look pretty good, the game looks EXTREMELY outdated if you play in 1080p, honestly I couldn't even play after seeing it the first hour, actually made me nauseous, I do not recommend if you can't max game on 4k.

The movement in the game is off, I'd never bring this up in any other game review unless the game was being advertised on such features that would make it the selling point. However there are very odd moments in the game where you find yourself clipping onto random objects in the ground or trying to jump over little obstructions- and while you should be able to just jump over the first try, you'd have to jump multiple times. If you're following what I'm saying the game is not fluid at all when it comes to it's movement- it's very clunky at times. And when it comes to PVP you'll see why it's EXTREMELY frustrating and unacceptable.

The PVE in this game feels like a complete pushover even on most vet dungeons, if you don't have your set figured out and your skills aren't maxed or shouldn't even be in your rotation- you can still get by, It may take a little longer than others, but you aren't inherently bound to fail like most MMORPGS. There isn't many sets you can't just buy off the guild market ( Games Auction house done through a guild system from all guilds in the game ) so there isn't much reason to constantly farm dungeons if you have the money, unless you need the games premium monster gear - which you don't need much of. However if you're looking for challenge this isn't the game for you.

PVP in this game is a lost hope and I highly recommend to look else where for engaging/fair/balanced engagements. Like many other games there is a meta in how people structure their builds, unfortunately in ESO it is way too prominent and almost every class has the same overpowered tank/sustain or sustain/sustain build It's like you're constantly fighting wolverine and for every attack you do they heal for 3 times the amount. Or you're fighting a literal brick wall, because it just can't die. It's not worth the frustration and the constant toxic loop it brings. The community that is left for PVP are EXTREMELY over the top and sweaty when it comes to maxing out builds and 9/10 of your games will be met with constant tanks that never take any damage but can stun you and kill you in 5 seconds. It's truly a shame and a wasted effort on Bethesda's part. Maybe when the meta isn't so bad the PVP can be enjoyable but it's in a very bad state right now.

But in closing, this is what I expected of Bethesda because this is all they're known for. They make AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL quests and stories that are engaging- even if they're just side quest. But when it comes to anything PVE related it's always going to be a pushover this reflects in ESO. In any Bethesda game players are always able to make insane and over the top builds- this also reflects in ESO for PVP and it just goes to show this most likely will never change. Overall the game is just mediocre and it's sad to say but nothing stood out to me except the quests and even then that can not be the only thing an MMORPG is good at.
