Arknes, The Serpent Continent

This is another of my fictional lands. It's said to once been a living serpent that slithered across the world, though one day something send it into a long slumber and haven't woken since. Over time, earth has crusted it's skin and evenually the serpent was completely covered with soil and rocks, allowing plants to grow upon it and animals had started to mysteriously appear on it. There were even early humans who have became stranded on it and made a living on the island with all of it's resources.

After countless centuries, the Arknese People have called it their home. The inhabitants told tales of the continent being alive and being their protector against foreign threats, they even come to worship it as some kind of god and await the day it awakes.
