You can use spells in this gamemode, I've seen many people playing without them. Select them in the F1 MENU. If you can't figure out how to select them, look at the video and if you don't know how to use them look in the help image above.

I'm shifting my focus from this gamemode. I'll try to do some updates here and there but don't expect a lot.

Gamemode inspired by Smash (bros), with my own twist put on it.

It's the first gamemode that I ever released and it was tested with one person only, so I'm sure some sneaky bugs might occur more likely with more people on the server. If anything happens, be sure to report it! Thanks.

Want to know how to play the game? Check out the "Help" image. If anything is unclear, ask! (sorry if it is, I blame it on english not being my first language instead of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ explanation skills).

Important note
This mod won't work with bots, nor will it work singleplayer properly.
If you want to test skills out, host a multiplayer lan server and type lua_run Debug() in console.
Bots are super tough to do in such a gamemode, I don't think I'm gonna be adding those. I'd have to rescript huge amounts of code.




Admin commands:
drpz_attackspeed - Attack speed multiplier. [Default: 1]
drpz_damagemultiplier - Damage multiplier, multiplies how much KBP you get by given number. [Default: 1]
drpz_disableconfusion - Disables confusion system. Setting it to 1 disables confusion. [Default: 0]
drpz_disablemana - No more worrying about mana. Setting it to 1 disables mana. [Default: 0]
drpz_disablemapevents - Turns off special events like lava geysers on drpz_hellhole or hockey pucks on drpz_sliprink Setting it to 1 disables them. [Default: 0]
drpz_disablepowerups - Disables spawning of powerups on maps - Setting it to 1 disables them. [Default: 0]
drpz_disablestamina - Allows you to run forever - Setting to 1 allows unlimited sprints [Default: 0]
drpz_extrajumps - You can set how many extra jumps you can make in air. [Default: 2]
drpz_knockbackmultiplier - Multiplies the knockback strength by given number. [Default: 1]
drpz_lives - Sets how much lives you start with. [Default: 3]
drpz_poweruprespawntime - Sets how often powerups spawn (in seconds). [Default: 60]
drpz_preroundtime - By typing /request in chat, you extend the preround so you can choose your spells. Sets how much time you get to prepare (in seconds). [Default: 15]
drpz_instaults - Setting it to 1 allows you to cast ultimates with any amount of lives [Default: 0]
drpz_disableplayerselector - Disables the F2 Player model selection menu. [Default: 0]
drpz_defaultplayermodels - Setting it to 1 will limit player models to the non workshop ones. [Default: 0]
drpz_defendpoints - Sets maximum defense points. [Default: 5]
drpz_strafeharshness - Increasing this value will change how hard the strafing is impacted. Setting it to something like 10000 will disable strafing at 200% KBP. If you don't know what this refers too, look lower for strafe impact mechanic. [Default: 1]
drpz_randomspells - Gives you random spells at beginning of each round. [Default: 0]
drpz_alwaysextend - Always extends the preround. [Default: 0]

Client commands:
drpz_disablelights - Disables dynamic lighting of spells and other entities - Set it to 1 to increase FPS [Default: 0]
drpz_azerty - Enables azerty keyboard layout so you can cast spells with "A" instead of "Q" [Default: 0]

drpz_altdash - Allows you to bind a key for dashing. To enable it type drpz_altdash 1 and then type
"bind yourkeyhere +alt1" without the quotes. Example: "bind f +alt1" - now when you press a direction key and your bound key (W,A,S,D + f) you're gonna dash in specified direction. [Default: 0]

drpz_altspell - Works like drpz_altdash for spells. Binds a custom key instead of Q to spellcast. Enable it by typing
drpz_altspell 1 (do everything in console of course). After enabling it you can bind the key with this command
"bind yourkeyhere +alt2" without quotes. For example bind t +alt2 - this will make you cast your spells with
[T + Left mouse button or Right mouse button]. [Default: 0]

Chat commands:
/drpzhelp - Shows the help menu
/skills - Shows the skill selection menu
/models - Shows player model selection menu
/reques - Extends the preround if you need more time to pick spells

Here's a section where I tell you what I'm working on so you don't repeat the suggestions.
I devote a lot of time to this gamemode, and still can't manage everything, sorry (I'm a single developer, and when a bug appears my schedule is ♥♥♥♥♥♥). So here's my queue for things I want to add later.

Made the image more flashy than the others to grab your attention.

Here's where I put any important changes to gameplay mechanics (I don't really want to edit the Help image everytime I add a new mechanic)

Strafe Impact (Thanks Not a cute snail for the suggestion!)
Masters of strafing beware!
Now whenever you're KBP raises above 200% you're gonna slowly lose control over your strafing.
At around 800% you'll compeletly lose your ability to strafe.
Your velocity affects it too - if you're going super fast, you can really lose control over strafing even at 200% KBP.
Added this because being very good at strafing gave a gigantic advantage over the others (don't worry, its still an important skill in the gamemode) and because of that rounds would drag on forever.

This seems to be the most common problem.

Gamemode not working properly? No one else reported the problem you're facing? It's probably an addon conflict.
Either report it and I might try fixing it or do this:

1.Download and install this addon (refer to the instructions)

2.Open the addon manager menu.
3.Disable all addons except Dropzone
4.Run dropzone
5.See if the error is still occuring.
6.If it isn't, it's an addon conflict
You can later re-enable your old addons, no worries!
