Super-Conductive Hyper-Proximal Heavy-Duty Cube-Detecting Wall Plates
A conductive plate that creates a power output when a cube is placed near it. Behaves similar to a normal button but is placed on a wall, as seen in image 4.

Enjoyed this map; fun to solve. Thumbs up! @quatrus, the square shows up when on the other side and you walk in front of the exit door ; it did so for me.

Glad you found it at least slightly challenging. I'm not exactly sure why you consider this grunt work while also stating that it took a bit of thinking to get through. There's 3 square symbols in the 2nd room. All of them had a sign showing what they would do if there wasn't already an antline connecting to the other element. The only one that I'd image you're talking about is the one on the very left of the beginning part of the 2nd room. It's pretty obvious what it does - When you put a cube in it, it helps unlock the exit door.

The first room was pretty easy for me...just taking the time to think about it. The second room was a bit difficult only because there was no real pointer to the square symbol. It was hit or miss before I could figure it out...less a logic puzzle and more just grunt work. But overall it was a nice puzzle that mostly took a bit of thinking to get through.
