As for the rusting, it's something robots have to worry about in-game, though I understand for non-insanity reasons if you don't want to add it.
That's up to your imagination lol
But as I said above, the mod is dead unless you play an old release of the game

My mod seems to break every few months as they put out new updates.
I might take a look at it soon. It's a good bit of work to learn their changes and rework them. And I haven't played CoQ in a while
This update just killed the AB-I (2mp/lvl), but not the AB-II (unstable genome). I'll probably rip out the AB-I in a little while. So complete any saves you may have with it soon!
I don't know if I could update this mod to still have similar functionality with the new module system, and I doubt I'll be trying in the near future
