Time-Period Accurate Music (True Music)

Description
UNMAINTAINED

Time-Period Accurate Music!
This is a Addon for True Music.

This mod adds 220 songs that would be realistic to when Project Zomboid takes place (Pre - July, 1993). All songs are given a Vinyl + Cover & Cassette form.

The song names follow the traditional True Music naming theme as to not disrupt game-play.
i.e Artist name - Song Name (Year Released)

Q & A

Q : Help! The mod wont work!
A : The install for mods sometimes doesn't work, if your having issues you can add trying verifying the integrity of the game files, unsubscribe and resubscribe, or you can manually download it.

Click here to manually install Time-Period Accurate Music. Navigate to \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600, and if there is a folder named 2717792692, delete it. and extract the .zip file from the "Click here" button. If everything is done correctly, it should look like this! You can also install it locally in your \Users\%USER%\Zomboid\mods folder, it should look like this!

Q : Can I make add my own music?
A : Yes. You are free to add your own music, but if you publish it to the workshop add songs to work in conjunction to my mod, instead of ripping my entire track-list and republishing my mod with more,
this took a lot of effort to make.

Q : Can you add a walkman, or do ___ feature?
A : No, please request such a thing on the official True Music page.

Make sure to check out my other mods!

Adding this mod to save(s) shouldn't cause any issues.
And neither should updating it (but it might!), always back up your saves.
if you add this mod to your already started save,
to find new vinyls and cassettes look in places you haven't looked before.

Oh I'm only now seeing that I already commented something similar a while ago. Proves my point about what a great time I have with this mod haha <3

I just need to tell you this mod is my absolute favorite mod. It makes the whole game experience so much better (and Zomboid is already a great game). Nothing is better than listening to time-accurate music in your base, or while trying to kill a bunch of zombies without dying. I have never felt more peace than when sitting down to listen to a track in zomboid while reading a book.

Thanks for givin me some GNR to play when i realize its all over, and i honestly enjoy a last stand. Welcome To The Jungle is just great for that. Thanks

I hope it's fine that I post this here, but I've made a mod called More Time-Period Accurate Music that aims to add more time-period accurate music to the game alongside this mod. Not that many songs yet but I am gradually adding more. Also taking requests.

The direct/manual download link seems to be broken

I love this mod however i keep the majority of my cassettes in my fanny-pack and these cassettes weigh 10x more so i cant store them is there a simple change instead of individually changing weight values in debug mode?

Great mod! My main complaint is that when I go looting I find music like...EVERYWHERE... I wish there was a way to control the spawns because they are way out of hand. It feels like I am finding 5 cassette tapes in every drawer I loot. Sadly had to turn it off just because of how out of wack the loot spawns are for it.

I think this is my favorite mod of all time. Never had I so much fun as while listening to Metallica and slapping zombies with a baseball bat

This mod is great but I have one major issue & that's that I can't control the spawn rate and now my loot pools are mostly casettes. It extra hurts me with where they spawn most regularily being the same loot pool guns most commonly spawn in.
