Hemomancer (Blood Mage)

Description
This mod adds a Hemomancer Profession, along with associated abilities. This Profession focuses on cutting yourself and using your blood to cast powerful spells in battle at the cost of your health.

WARNING:

This was my first time ever making a mod for anything, ever.
I made it in about 2 hours at 6 in the morning without sleeping the night beforehand so it might have some spelling mistakes.
I also came up with most of the numbers off the top of my head so it is probably not balanced at all.
Finally, the mod is unfinished, with the class only having 9 abilities as of right now, but I hope to find the time to continue to add more! Any feedback on ideas would be seriously considered and honestly, probably added to the mod so if you like it, please give me feedback!

KNOWN BUGS:
This list will be updated as I find bugs using the mod myself, or people notify me of them. any Feedback positive or negative is greatly appreciated!

COMPATIBILITY:
I have not tested this with any other mods, it should work with any mods that do not add professions or change their icons, so please disable those that do when using it.

I have thought about the idea of using corpses to heal large amounts, this would consume the blood stored in the corpse. I am not 100% sure on how to implement it, but if I figure it out, it is likely to be added.

I just tried it and although it still was a good combo, you had made a great choice by giving it both the 8 in cooldown, but also that it took 2 to cast. I don’t think it needs buff nor nerf for the time being. Something you could add would be more skills for individuals, and skills that don’t take up too much blood. I often found myself in need to heal midst battle against one strong opponent. Also, maybe a way to heal from the dead but with high cooldown? Idk. Btw I hope I don't come off as someone who wants to take over the mod, I just really think this could be good, so I come with some ideas. No need to change it. Keep up the good work :)

I belive it was a good idea to get Blood Absorption nerfed, but I would nerf it even more. Not the life steal but probably the cooldown. I dont know how much you have played, but if you know the big city up right on the map, it can be used as a really fast way to level (I belive it would be too fast) in there since there are so many people, and you can almost heal as fast as you take damage, since it is an aoe attack. Btw I haven't tested it yet, so don't think too much of it, but will do so tomorrow. :steamthumbsup:

Changes:

New Powerful Ability
In this Update, the Hemomancer has received a new ability, available at level 9, this ability packs a serious punch.
Costing 5 stamina, and a whopping 25 health to cast, the hemomancer can now slice themself open with a melee weapon and release a wave of blood in a cone. This cone deals a large amount of death damage with good scaling. The wave of blood also knocks targets back a few tiles, as well as poisoning them for 2 turns.
I hope you all are able to enjoy this potent ability!

Blood Absorption Nerf
After receiving some feedback, and thinking to myself a bit, the 100% lifesteal of blood absorption did seem slightly strong, because of this I considered upping the health costs of other abilities to counteract this, but in the case Blood Absorption is obtained on a different profession, that does nothing. Therefore I have decided to cut the lifesteal to 90% instead of 100%. Hopefully this helps to keep it from being too powerful.

Thanks for the feedback, I know it is quite strong, but I was trying to balance it out by having most/all of the other spells cost quite a bit more health than other spells would. This way you are using a lot of the health you heal from blood absorption by casting other spells, let me know how you feel about that line of thought if you have the time!

Great idea! maybe the blood absortion is a little broken, with the heal, since it is a level 1, but keep up the good work :steamthumbsup: Looking forward to see where this is going :)

Mod Version 0.2.0 Released with 3 new abilities!

Level 6 Ability: Blood Hemorrhage
This spell allows you to damage a target's brain, taking them out of the fight for a short time.

Level 7 Ability: Sanguine Rain
This ability costs a lot of health but sends blood tearing through everyone in a large area, while also chaining those blood bolts to other enemies.

Level 8 Ability: Bloodflame Blade
This ability allows you to enchant your weapon with flaming blood, adding some fire damage and helping you see when it's dark.
