Description

Lately, my nights have been disturbed by vivid and haunting dreams, all centered around a painting of an unknown but oddly familiar woman.
In my dreams, I find myself standing in a vast castle. As I walk through its dimly lit corridors, I am inexorably drawn towards an ornate painting, a portrait of this mysterious woman. There is an undeniable sense of familiarity about her, as if she exists in some forgotten corner of my past. Perhaps it's a distant memory or a reflection of someone I once knew, but it remains elusive.

I have made up my mind to embark on a journey to the castle of my dreams, determined to uncover the truth behind this enigmatic painting. I cannot rest until I understand the significance of this inexplicable connection to the woman in the painting and the castle that houses her image.
I will search for clues, seek answers, and attempt to unravel the meaning behind these haunting dreams.
I trust that once I confront the source of these visions, I will find some semblance of peace.

Fantastic CS! Has some really unique puzzles, nice environments/voice-acting and the atmosphere was great.

I am glad this custom story is the first one I played, but it will set a high standard. Other custom maps will have a hard time topping this.

I struggled at the first puzzle--the carpet thing, since it doesn't exist in amnesia. I got stuck for some time in the library as well, but I enjoyed the rest.

I don't mind the door mechanic. I assume you had to do that for performance. My PC lags considerably in the library.

I died at the last chase scene. I thought I ran into a dead end because I pulled the door toward me, but the door won't open. However, I needed to open the door away from me to open it. I thought it was locked the first time and died...

Overall, a very high-quality custom story.

By the way, who the hell thought it was a good idea to put a FOUNTAIN in a LIBRARY!?

best custom story i've ever played, although, the atlas puzzle could've been done a lot better. while yes, the allusion to the correct statue is present, what you're supposed to do to said puzzle is up in the air.

for my experience: when i saw the clue, i actually already knew what statue was the correct one, but, when i went over to it, i had absolutely zero clue what i was supposed to do to it. in fact, i believed that i was supposed to block it's view, since, the statue alludes to it's gaze being what protects the door, as in, keeps it locked. however, this was fruitless, and, after a careful google search, i found out that...for whatever reason...there is a teensy tiny button on the very base of it which *somehow?* opens the door?

apart from that, very very good custom story :)

8,5/10 for this CS
Only the fact that at the final room, it's the same room from the main campaign, and the appearance of the new "shadow", that has a little problem (it's perhaps with the Remastered Mod), but otherwise this CS was good !
